Read that on twitter earlier. I'm done with him. Let's sell him and get the max while we still can. He's no good to us playing in 5 matches a year. I love the guy and he's a world class striker, when healthy, it's just time to move on.

Like TFTC says, who will pay for him?

Let him heal up. He comes back later, gets another brace in a big match, go back to be injured, rinse, repeat.

Yep...

If I was calling the shots.. Benteke is the one I'm putting feelers out for... He has some value and hopefully we can get most of our money back..

Hopefully, that would be enough to bank roll a new striker... Maybe that other Belgian at Marseille.. Or if Icardi really wants out of Inter...

Edit: still can't believe Rodgers was allows to drop that kinda coin over the summer

When does Studge's contract end? I know he resigned fairly recently.

I read earlier that Sturridge should be fit for the Christmas match against Leicester. We have the talent to cover for 2 matches, especially against West Brom and Watford. Im hoping for the Belgium pairing up top with Teke and Origi playing together.

He signed a 5 year deal last summer, so he's on contract until 6/2019... So, hope he finally heals up or we should just enjoy when he's healthy, cause he usually bangs 'em in... consider it an expensive bonus

I don't know what to think... I'll just trust in Klopp, whatever he decides. Truth be told, I wouldn't mind the front three of Firmino, Cou and Lallana (Man City).. But, obviously Benteke and Origi will need game time...

Even if Sturridge is fit for the Xmas.. the matches come in bunches, so he can't be expected to play in all... he has to be handled with kid gloves...

Agreed, but I want our best players fit to play against the best team in the league (as it stands now). A win against Leicester at home would be a nice boost to supporters and the squads confidence. If Sturridge is help out up to that match, I dont mind, and even if he only plays 60-70 minutes of that match, I dont mind, but I do want him in against Leicester. We should have the talent to still come away with 6 points against West Brom and Watford, though SHOULD is the key word there.

I'm fairly certain we beat Leicester at home. Probably beat either West Brom or Watford. Whoever of the two is nearest the bottom of the table is who we will lose to. It's a guarantee.

After Newcastle, I don't think we should forecast any victories.

Newcastle has been about as disinteresting in playing soccer as my dead grandma would be. Yet they turned it on for us.

I bet us big today with who we have playing and hoping that they want to get the taste of that Newcastle loss out of their mouths. Hoping to see Cou get a few minutes.

Ouch. Not looking good. 71st minute and 0-0 still. Our attacking midfield looks lost. Granted we move on regardless of this matches outcome, but we seem to be totally out of sorts.

Yeah I'm expecting a loss at this point. We haven't looked good.

Bummed about my bet but I'm glad we topped the group to go through. Should have known better knowing a draw was more than sufficient. Also didn't know the pitch was essentially frozen. Hope we get a good draw.
