Explain what happened. I saw Srtel, OG, via Score app. Then Klopp said something to the fact we had a "world class goal" that didn't count....??

Skrtel was late getting over on a good run from Wijnaldum on a counter and went to make a diving block that he deflected in goal.

10 minutes later or so we had a good pass over the top to Moreno that he volleyed over the keeper in the side of the net that was incorrectly ruled offside by a half a yard or something like that. I admit it was a little bit of a tough call. LINK

After that we were just caught out attacking to equalize when they got the second

Thank you my brother. I bleed LFC. Had match DVR'd but accidentally saw score on my phone. Very depressed. Went to support Crew in MLS cup and didn't help matters. Last week was one of better weeks for me in soccer. Today blew! JFT96 YNWA.

Like I said, you didn't miss anything. Better off just deleting the recording and moving forward

Well boys, I'll be in New Orleans this weekend. So I'm planning on watching the WBA match at Finns. If any of you want to IRL me, I'll buy you a drink. I'll be wearing a new red Hendo shirt.

Can't believe I stayed up late to watch that shite last night.

Unlucky on the offsides call - but those happen.

Unluckily we conceded - the loss was a fluke as it should have been a draw.

I think we can look forward to this type of game on the road against the bottom of the table type teams - almost like a home game for us where we just couldn't unlock them.

I think we really missed Cou yesterday. And it's distressing that one guy is so important to our cause against a packed defense.

Bentenke just isn't matching up well with our other attackers - I don't know if more time is needed or if they will never really get on the same page. One thing that keeps coming back to me was a nice cross from Moreno (could have been Milner though since he was on the left early) about 15 or so minutes in and bentenke doesn't even make a run into the box - so we had a nice cross into 8 yards from goal and no one even really in the box. I mean what is he there for unless he's going to make a presence in the box?

Defense was alright - just unlucky with the goal. I thought Moreno got caught too far forward too often - but as most of the teams success happens along their right/our left and Moreno keeps having moments too far forward, I have to think that this is almost by design or tactical calculated risk by klopp.

Hopefully this quiets the "win the league" talk. We have a lot of work to do to figure out how to unlock packed defenses before we can worry about winning the league. And after yesterday's game, expect more opponents to try to play us similarly.

Eta - I thought yesterday was the worst performance under klopp for several players - notably Lucas. I don't think Lucas and Allen should ever be in the same midfield again.

Just a shite match. Unlucky and honestly we were due to lose to them sooner than later.

Def. a match to forget and a lesson learned when we don't stick to our philosophy and execute. Lot of the players looked pretty tired.

As soon as I saw a starting midfield of Allen, Lucas, and Milner, I had a bad feeling about the match. Then when we were given 3 corners in the first 90 seconds of the match, and posed nothing close to a threat with them, I had a worse feeling. We just played a shite game with a shite lineup, so the result was not exactly unexpected.

Morenos unlucky offsides call was an absolutely brilliant goal though, but unfortunately crap like that happens. We generated very few chances in the final third, and it resembled a Rodgers squad performance. Its evident that our squad needs Cou, Lallana, Can, and Sturridge to get the offense running.

Yeah, we didn't really deserve to lose... But surely didn't deserve to win either...

Moreno's goal was a thing of beauty... I guess it was the football gods paying us back for Bournemouth

The difference now is that this type of match is the exception instead of the rule.

Until we start actually winning matches against the bottom of the table, I remain skeptical.

EDIT: Not of Klopp. Just of the team in general.

There are two things we know about this team.

1. Allen/Lucas don't mix
2. Ibe/Firmino/Benteke are our worse attacking trio together

+1 here. Im really starting to think Teke is best later in matches as a 2nd half sub, but his price tag almost requires him to be a starter. The attacking trio of Lallana, Firmino, and Coutinho is the most lethal I have seen from us.

I agree with everything. I would be interested to see a Benteke and Sturridge front two though cause I think they both do a little better with another striker deflecting attention, but that takes up a spot from one of our AM's

Perfect timing - rumor is Sturridge did his hamstring on Sunday

Not sure how true it is though since it's just coming out now
