A classic one-club man…Logan Pause
Freddy Adu definitely has the resume to be on this team but too well known.
To get back on track, I really hope we get to see more of Dike this summer. He’s the one guy I can see making the leap.

Gun to my head, I’m rolling with Jesus in the desert this November.

What's Julian Green up to these days?

Splitting time as a midfielder with fellow USMNT-eligible Timothy Tillman and trying to avoid relegation in the Bundesliga with Gruether Fuerth

At this point, just forget scoring. Who offers best hold up play? France won w/o a striker scoring (1998 and 2018). If anything we need to focus on set pieces b/c that's where the bulk of goals come from.

Just read he had a tendon injury that may keep him out of the rest of the season. Almost wish at this point he gets loaned back to MLS to at least get some minutes. At minimum would be nice to see him in some friendlies to at least get game time this summer, but weird to call in a guy who hasn’t played since December. Such a shite spot for him to be in.

What sucks about this BS winter World Cup is that we only have a June and September window coming up. In the lead up to the World Cup, clubs don't have to release their players until November 14th when they take a month long international break. So there won't be the usual pre-World Cup friendlies that usually allows for coaches to see the 30-man preliminary roster before cutting it down to 23.
It especially hurts us because we play on the first day of the tournament, so we only have a week to get the squad together between November 14th and our first match on the 21st.
And with Gregg's comments today about using Nations League in June to call in his best squad, there won't be much time to call in experiments.

has to be someone who is good enough to be a clear improvement who has also never played for a senior side
Iñaki Williams qualifies for a switch but is looking at Ghana.
Willian José
Ayoze Pérez as a false 9
Allan Saint-Maximin can play as a 9

Idk if you can put guys who started in World Cups in this list (Bornstein, Torres).
Put Jorge Villafana or Justin Morrow at LB, Freddy Adu has to be a winger.
Logan Pause has to be in here somewhere as well.
Who was the young LB that played in the U20s, got a cap or two in friendliest I believe, moved to Ajax and now is basically out of football a few years later?
ETA: it wasnt Ajax it was PSV - Chris Gloster. That dude fell off a cliff

Sargent is apparently injured right now. Hoppe didn't get off the bench in a 1-0 loss for Mallorca

OP hates Pefok
Hate is a strong word, I just think he is utterly useless in Gregg's system.
Now, it's a whole other discussion on whether or not Gregg's system is right for this team (Girth Donor will be here shortly), but as long as we're running it, I don't think Pefok offers anything in it.
Me listing his name like that is because the dude literally has 8 million names depending on what his club kit, USMNT kit and instagram say.

You've scored a goal more recently for club and country than Pepi.
As of right now, he's not ready. He still obviously has a lot of potential, definitely for next cycle and maybe for this cycle, but he's got a long way to go.
