Someone that is born in America to legal citizens or someone that has spent enough time in America to become an American citizen.

Never compared the two. Just mentioned I was skeptic about him taking over. However, he is the top American candidate.

Who would you tab as the next manager?
Roy Hodgson, obviously.

So people whose parent(s) who put their actual existence on the line for America (the place we are talking about), aren't considered American? Gotcha. Your logic is good you are correct.

Again, if the info from WSE is correct and they have never even been to America then absolutely they have no business playing for the USMNT. What makes it even worse is that the only reason they are playing for America is because they realized they weren't good enough to play for Germany. And yes, I know I'm correct.

Once again, you have failed to address the fact a key fact in what you quoted (and attempted to "reply" to). One of these guys' parents are Americans and usually are servicemen or women.
Are soldiers overseas not American? Yes or no?

From Boca's Facebook page
Sounds like the pro we all know him to be. I think he should be on staff in some sort of capacity though.

During the last 18 months Jurgen has introduced a lot of new ideas to the team and has a vision of how he wants to grow the program. Every coach around the world has his own style and methods. He has always been up front with players about where they stand and where he sees them going. Not every player is going to be happy with all of the decisions and methods, but he will tell you to your face where you stand. From a coach, that is the best thing you could ask for. One of the greatest strengths of this team has always been our unity and spirit, and we all remain committed to the cause of qualifying for the World Cup.

Born to an American parent? They're American.
In the FIFA world, where Eduardo de Silva is Croatian and Sebastian Soria is Qatari? They're DOUBLE AMERICAN.
Either knock the xenophobic shite off or GTFO.

Personally, I don't think you should be considered American unless you drink BEAST and go to Monster Jam events. Just my 2 cents.

It's definitely an issue FIFA needs to address. There's no way you can justify people who have never even been to America representing the United States. Same goes for any other country with similar situations.

The thing is, we are going to qualify for the world cup. Worst case scenario is us finishing in the fourth spot and have a play-off with New Zealand.
That said, this anonymous dissent here is not good at all. If we don't nip that shite in the bud our 2014 WC experience could be a lot like France's 2010, only without nearly the amount of media attention.

Oh, Randy still hasn't answered my (and Tweezy's) question yet? Awesome.

Fabian Johnson was born in Munich to an American father in the military and his german born mother Sylvia, who coincidentally enough was born to an American military father and German mother. He visited America twice before playing. He said in an interview he feels just as American as he does German. Fabian also played on the German u21 team that won the Euro's. Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira also played. He's hardly a slouch and it is no certainty he wouldnt have been called up for the senior team at one point.
Timmy Chandler was likewise born to American father in the military. I haven't seen his history on american soil in any interviews he's given, sorry Randall. Chandler also played on German youth teams, and Loew watched him play at Nurnberg a few times, so that's also a stretch to say he never would've been called up.
Danny Williams was born to a father in the military and a German mother. He visited Miami before playing for our team, he is "terrified of flying" and that's why he said he's only been once. "i've said to everyone I feel more American than German."
While Williams wasn't likely to ever be called up, it is worth noting that Germany has very very good central midfielders.
Jermaine Jones was born to a serviceman father and a German mother. He actually LIVED in Chicago and Mississippi. He returned after his parents divorce. He played for German youth setups and made 4 friendly appearances for the senior team. Loew didn't include him in his future plans. He said he has never truly felt German.
T Boyd was also born to military father. He visited once as a kid. Although he no longer plays there, he was playing in the Dortmund setup when we found him. He's still very young, so that also would be incorrect to assume he'd never make it. He also says he feels more American than anything.
So now I have 2 questions:
How many of them qualify under the Randy Savage test of American-ness?
Would you tell a mixed race person who felt white that they were indeed black?
