Again, if the info from WSE is correct and they have never even been to America then absolutely they have no business playing for the USMNT. What makes it even worse is that the only reason they are playing for America is because they realized they weren't good enough to play for Germany. And yes, I know I'm correct.

Randy is a coward and a fool, and these people do not respond to logic.
Sheep:
I think we've decided that he is, in fact, worse than Bradley.
ETA: Tweezy thanks for the post. I thought that was cool. Boyd wants to get an American flag tat, and I think Jones got a tat to commemorate playing for the US.

I see nothing that says finishing first is qualifying is guaranteed. Certainly, winning a WC group isn't guaranteed. I'd say beating a #1 team in a non-friendly match isn't guaranteed.
It was a response to the poster who said "he can't be worse than Bradley."
The frick he can't.
Finishing second in qualifying, getting stuck in another group of death, and getting bounced out on our arse after the group stage in 2014, is 100% possible, and to claim otherwise is ignorance.
But maybe we'll play "pretty" on the way to doing it, like Portugal does.
There were many faults to Bradley's tenure, and quite a few games that I'd like to "have back", but I think a lot of people might be in for a surprise in the next year or so.

Yea when I went back and read this in that thread I was pretty blown away.

How has this image not made it's way into the thread yet?

Hmm, I re-glanced at the last two pages before posting.. but I was just looking for a big white facebook image.
I tuned out a lot of that american vs non-american crap, must've skimmed over it.

No problem, it was kind of hard to find how many times each of them had been to america bc reporters aren't exactly lining up to ask them how many times they've ever been to America. But S/O thenry for having the second or third link on google under the search "has Terrance Boyd ever been to America before?"
Was the player who reportedly never been tO America before, tim chandler? I didn't see what WSE posted and im not looking through the thread tO find it.
I really thought it was interesting Jermaine lived here, never knew that. I'm well aware of his deficiencies, but all the hate for jermaine junior around here has kind of made him one of my favorites.
Also all of the military fathers either abandoned at birth or got a divorce fairly soon after they were born. I really don't know how someone could fault a 20 something year old kid raised by a single mother for not having a chance to visit America 17 times a year growing up.

I said it a while back in another thread. I think I was referring to Danny Williams.
Found it:
quote:
ussoccer.com: You visited Miami earlier this year in June. Why did you make the trip?
DW: “I wanted to come to the U.S. to discover my dad’s country. I feel more American than German. People over here are very nice and open-minded, which is how I am. So I feel very comfortable. When I left, I knew that I had to come back.”
LINK
That sounds like his trip to Miami was his first.

Also, I actually disagree with the sentiment that Jozy was an anonymous hater. I've been critical of him in the past, but his response to Jurgy not calling him up recently, his current form this season, and his response to taking racial abuse on the field; have really impressed me. I think he's done a lot of growing up (as expected since he's still a kid) I don't see him pulling a stunt like this

Yeah the article I read said his Miami trip was a month or two before his appearance. That's when he dropped the I'm terrified of flying line.

I think Jozy (and I'd guess Clint as well) give zero fricks about what Klinsmann thinks of their abilities.

My statement was made based on the information that WSE told me a few weeks ago that a couple of them had never been to the United States until training. I'll have to re-read Tweezy's post to make my final judgement on each player. Stay tuned...
However, I do think that a player should not be able to play on the youth team for one nation and then switch to another unless he moves to the new nation for a certain period of time of at least 2-3 years.
ETA: The only way this period of time can be circumvented is to have something liked this tattooed largely across the chest or back...

I remember reading that somewhere. I could be wrong.
However, that wasn't the point of your argument in the first place.
