To be fair, Southgate is allergic to putting all of his best players on the field at once. Feels like England is where France was in 2018 talent-wise but just can’t bring themselves to play an exciting, attacking style that leverages their great young talent.

Danes dicked around and let England control the play most of the 1st 15 ET.
It was only a matter of time.

Came to post just this. Paulsen has been absolutely useless

Man Denmark fricked this when they took Dohlberg and Damsgaard out. Crazy in hindsight even in as it occurred. Poulsen and Dohlberg played together all tournament. Just a shite decision. Didn't need to take one out for the other.
Dohlberg and Damsgaard had to play the full 120 unless there was a severe injury

The disappointing part is Sterlings run was speculative at best, presenting no real scoring threat from that angle. At worst, one might say he was intentionally seeking a penalty. Sad that he got it.

Jordan Pickford looks like every time in a show that a girl has dressed like a boy to be able to play with the boys team. Can't wait for the love story arc where he and Harry Maguire become super close but he accidentally falls in love and has to come clean.

Well the English fans won't, but it is still a very poor way of setting up your team. They got bailed out.

There was more contact there than for the penalty

I’m not sure Braithwaite has made a good decision in the last 45 minutes.

His tactics and team selections are mind numbing
