Carlo ancelotti is a better coach than Jurgen Klopp.

I don’t think many people would argue that.

RM midfield is also vastly superior to ours, and it showed.

I’m ready for this season to wrap up so we can start the overhaul. The optimist in me says FSG have identified or worked out a deal with an investor and we can get a big cash injection to get some MF talent. I guess getting the talent also largely hinges on playing UCL next season too, unfortunately.

The defending has been so bad all season. Hell Newcastle created more chances than we did when they went a man down. 3 points this weekend and hopefully the club’s above us will feel the pressure.

I don’t think an investor will mean a cash infusion for our squad unless it’s a new majority owner. Investor will mean John Henry getting capital back.

They are running Liverpool self sufficient. The investment in the stadium etc will be huge for Liverpools future. Revenues are way way higher than they used to be. FSG deserve a lot of credit but they also aren’t going to spend out of pocket on players and people need to realize that. There is room for criticism. Also remember we were in for a midfielder (who went to Madrid) AND Nunez last summer - if we didn’t get another midfielder is that on klopp, the owners? Plenty of possible blame.

Owners for not addressing glaring holes in the squad when choice A goes elsewhere. Klopp for continuing to put the same players in the same positions in the same lineup and expecting it to work. We also need to cut dead weight…or should have when the writing was on the wall. Keita, Ox, Gomez, Nat (I realize we may be keeping some due to homegrown rules). Need to sell Kelleher too - he has rising value and deserves first team minutes somewhere.

We are effectively 6 points from 4th with a game in hand. Newcastle could get to 5 points from us even on games but they have been in poor form.

Just need to keep getting 3 points and we will be fine.

Meh wouldn’t get your hopes up

next 6 league games:

United
Bournemouth
Fulham
City
Chelsea
Arsenal

We prob need 14 points (7 from the first 3 and 7 from the next 3) out of that stretch to have a chance which requires a consistent good run of form (something we haven’t done all season)

Take it one game at a time though and you’ll never know. If we can somehow get 3 points on Sunday against United then all bets are off

Salah in June.
(I know we've replaced them with some talented players but will miss Salah, Bobby and Mane terrorizing defenses.)

I think if Diaz can come back from his injury 100% and continue to improve, him Darwin and Salah is pretty freakin stout

Just need to completely revamp our MF and go ahead and grab another good cb while Konate develops. Gómez has been pretty disappointing this season and Matip never stays healthy
