Do you know anything about LFC's history? Serious question

yes.... serious answer

look, i know he was a GREAT player, but that doesn't qualify him as some sort of savior as a manager.... his place in Liverpool history is cemented, and no one can take his playing days glory away, but this King Kenny shite, especially when we look like shite damn near everytime we take the pitch, while spending a ton of money only to regress, is getting old quick...

it's hard to deny he is not as good a manager as he was a player.... that's all fine and dandy about his "getting us through shite", but look at where he's LEADING us.... mid table and missing Euro play ain't where i'd like to be heading, and i can only assume that none of you would like that either.... but right now, this squad is mediocre....

i don't like saying it no more than you may like hearing it, but we just aren't very good.... and it's DIRECTLY RELATED to how bad a manager Kenny Dalglish is....

Please tell me you are aware that this is not KD's first stint as Liverpool manager. And that he is regarded as a good manager due to his history of being a good manager.

we qualified already for the Europa league.

King Kenny has won us our first cup in 6 years and finally gotten us back to Europe. And now were on the verge of winning the FA Cup. Yes, for the premier league, we've been disappointed, but overall our accomplishments hae gotten better under him.

Which is somewhat to be expected with Agger out twice now, Lucas gone for half the season, Steven out for a good bit, and Luis out for 8 games. When you have an absence of your best players for that long of a time you're bound to suffer.

C'mon man, we arent fricking Chelsea... He's not going to be fired after a season and change. I have my doubts too, but the man has earned respect and some time. I havent been enamored with his transfer policy, but, due to circumstance we've not had our optimal CM pairing (Gerrard, Lucas) in over a year, our best striker for 9 games this season... and the stevie, luis, andy attack has only started 3-4 times since hes been manager...

Let's finish strong, get a few key acquisitions over the summer and next season to see if we are going the right way...

again, he ALREADY established the name 'King' and his reputation decades before this stint. He won trophies galore with Liverpool and then took over Blackburn and they won the title. His reputation is firm. This is what we were originally arguing but somehow you think this is all nullified because of a rough few months.

this is absolute shite. The biggest complaint from this season is how often we look fantastic only to not score and earn a fair result. We've dominated more games this year than any in almost the last decade or so outside of '08.

Sure there's been some listless shitty performances but every team has those. You have yet to make one substantial argument that backs up your original premise. Fact is, we've converted less than 50% of our pens, and have hit the woodwork 21 (I think) times. That's a shitload of goals (and more importantly) points that we've missed out on which would drastically change your point of view.

So I can't find the QPR game on TV or ESPN3. Does anyone have a stream they know of that I can use to watch? I just can't go to the bar, I have a ton of stuff for school due Thursday morning.

Well over half the season.

Just saying.

Dalglish gets at least another year. Our roster has transformed under him. It takes a while to gel under the best of circumstances. Short of a few loses to the Bolton's of the world he has done a great job.

Wiziwig is the correct answer to whatever y'all are talking about...you will have to download Sopcast (it's a video player like Flash) in order to watch some of the streams. But it's free, reliable, and always high quality. And now y'all can thank me later instead.

Wiziwig is normally my back up. Sopcast is a great program. back when myp2p.eu still worked I caught every villa game for years between sop cast and tvu

Anybody else have more good sites? They tend to go down pretty frequently can never have too many bookmarked

I have FSC and Finns. Don't need to pay money to watch the one game of the season I can't catch (especially for QPR). Was just looking for a free site for this one time I can't get it.

that's nice.... his HISTORY.... i'm talking about the here and now, and i'm sorry guys, i just think the game has passed him by....

lack of motivation on the pitch, pissing away money, refusal to put the better, more effective players on the pitch consistently..... i dunno.... Liverpool Football is/should be better than what we are seeing out there....

as do i, but i guess i'm just more critically vocal, rather than wait and see like some of the people here..... and that's not a slam on anyone, it's just an observation, and i appreciate that each of us has a voice to be heard and it's just as valid as the next person..,

didn't mean any harm, but like i said, i don't share that same rosy outlook and optimism as some of you do.... still a 'Pool fan, but not really happy that we aren't competing for Premier League titles, nor does it really seem like we will, unless we spend some major money over the summer....

basically you are saying "if".... and all i can really say is that if if was a fifth we'd all be drunk....

all i know is that we DIDN'T convert those pens.... we DIDN'T score those goals..... you ever heard the saying "if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle".... the same applies here.... i think we disagree with where the blame falls.... which is fine.... i think it's great that for you it falls on our players not capitalizing..... and to some extent, i do as well.... but again, i think that Dalglish deserves a substantial amount of criticism, rather than accolades....
quote:

decades before this stint.

i don't care about decades before this stint... that has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on RIGHT NOW.... great, he won a lot of games as a player and manager back in the day..... so he should have immunity to criticism forever now? sorry, the world doesn't work that way.... i could fill 1000 prescriptions right every day, but if i frick up the last one i fill, what do you think people will remember of me? not the 1000 right, i can promise you....
quote:

This is what we were originally arguing but somehow you think this is all nullified because of a rough few months

fair enough... ok, so we don't cancel the "king kenny" shite.... fine by me.... but let's put is on hiatus, until he has this club back up to top 4 again.... and please don't take me back down memory fricking lane, which has not a shred of relevance to what is going down in the here and now.... for all i know, both you and i were both probably swimming in our daddy's nutsack when he was so great back in the day....
quote:

especially when we look like shite damn near everytime we take the pitch

this is absolute shite.

you are right... it is shite.... i definitely over emphasized to hammer my point... i was wrong, but i still think we should be better than we are, yes, even with the injuries.... Winger kept Arsenal afloat when they were fricking left for dead at the beginning of the season! and look at them now.... that's what i expect out of our manager.... sorry if i have a high standard, but we are Liverpool.... we should expect more....

unfortunately, i totally agree.... i believe he SHOULD be gone, but i know with us winning silverware, it buys him a little more time....

i never argued on what i thought was GOING to happen, only what i felt SHOULD happen....
