At least we could ease ourselves into it. What a collapse.

We never had the squad to go the distance... I was surprised we were on top so late in the season. yeah, its disappointing.. but we're about where we should be..

Yeah, I agree.. and my comment was from the POV that we had a complete midfield overhaul with Alexis playing the #6 for a good bit of the season, which is not getting the best of him... I don't think the rebuild is complete either, it was just a lot to ask in one summer..

In August, I think we'd all have agreed the finishing the season top 4 and some silverware would have been a successful season..

Just being in the title race so late, kinda makes it end on a sour note... I believe all those injuries took its toll and some players were forced to play way more than they should and it showed down the stretch...

I'm still optimistic with the infrastructure the FSG has rebuilt from the top down, because we seem to have moved away from that the past couple of seasons.. and from what Ive read, Slot seems to play the football we all appreciate... I'm tuning in to the Feyernoord match now!

Frankly, criticism as to Liverpool's finishing ability in the second half of the season is valid.

Know what concerns me more though? Since just before Christmas 2023, Liverpool have played 20 PL matches and only 3 of them have been clean sheets.

It has become the case that EVERYBODY in the PL scores on Liverpool except for Forest, Burnley, and Bournemouth (those were the three clean sheets).

realistically, its going to come down to being willing to open up the purse strings... in today's PL, it is what it is, you have to spend a lot of money to get the best players... if we continue to nickel and dime, then those are the the bookend spots you can expect to finish in (5th to 10th)....

Still on the who the frick is Arne Slot line of thinking. Never heard of this guy and haven’t heard of half the teams he has coached for. Admittedly I am not exactly well versed outside of England and some of Spain and Germany so maybe that’s why.

United supporter crashing your thread to say I’m going to miss him badly. It feels like the end of an era. Even getting our arse kicked constantly over the years, it’s been impossible to not love him and wish he was ours

An amazing representative of everything good about football. The Premier League will miss him deeply

- Klopp out
- mysterious Slot guy in
- gaudy yellow and white stripes on the side of the home kit on top of a weird collar.

**sigh**
