Chelsea announces they’re parting ways with Frank Lampard

Interested to see how the club plays from here on out. Should be an offensive powerhouse with the talent.

Just hoping teams will start to not want to play us again instead of being excited

I’m sure Pulisic is also pretty happy with the hire.

The only thing is

He’s a complete dick head

He will clash with the Chelsea upper management and it will get him fired eventually just like Jose, Conte and Sari walking.

Chelsea will not have a long term manager under Roman. This is a brilliant hire. He'll be great for 3ish years and then he will publicly criticize ownership/execs and get fired.

How I see it as well. His first step is to somehow get Timo, Kai, CP and basically everybody but that sexy Frenchman to quit pressing. Just wound tight on offense. Get a little flow and confidence with the guys upfront and could be an offensive machine.

Sad to see the rumours were true - Lampard one of my all time favourites

Pep Guardiola on Frank Lampard: "You have to win. People talk about projects & ideas but it doesn't exist. You have to win or you be sacked. I respect the Chelsea decision but a huge hug for Frank, hopefully when the lockdown is over I can go to a restaurant and see him again.“

Sacked is such a great European term. Should be used here more often.

Lampard was better than OGS through this point and look where OGS and United are now.

They didn’t give him enough time, imo.

OGS is showing growth and learning to adapt tactics

Frank has no tactics

Just we will play youngsters and spend £200 million in one summer

This.

We weren’t gonna be top 4 at the rate we were going.

There was no end game to our tactics.

Probably knocked out of champions league, and who knows how much further sliding down the table.

Frank is a club legend and will always have banners and statues, welcomed back to the bridge anytime rain or fine, but it didn’t translate well into an inexperienced manager.
