Also gains Technical Director title

Cool, I guess. Not sure if I like that they do this before the WC, though.

This is HUGE for recruting more US/Intl. players to commit to the Red white and blue.

I see more studs coming out way!

Let's hope that Jurgy bucks the trend of international managers going to shite in thier second cycle.

Del Bosque and Low have done pretty well. Of course they probably have the two most talented player pools in the world so...

Löw better produce, he's very close to wearing out his welcome. I'm not usually a fan of extending a coach for another full term but I'll wait and see on this one. He's done well.

My impression recently is that he has worn out his welcome. If Germany is not über successful this tournament -reaching the final- then he will be out.

Getting to the final won't be enough.

I think it depends on who they play. I would have a hard time condemning him for losing to Brasil. If they lost to pretty much anyone else though, it would be different.

German fans won't be happy with second place. Doesn't matter who they're playing.

Good move even if we crash out of the WC. Gives a lot of stability to the program to help attract outside talent. Also, there is no question who runs the show between the players and the manager for now. We can always buy him out if things go horribly wrong from here on out as well.
