re: The stadium last night...best I've ever seen it!
Posted by lesismeaurx on 10/19/15 at 5:12 pm to Tigersaint09
I was in the student section. It's pretty sad how things have changed from just a couple years ago.
I was disappointed, not that we weren't loud, but that we weren't constantly loud. We used to be loud throughout a play and into the next one. You don't get that anymore.
Half the Greek kids sitting around me were passed out and on their phones the entire game, and there were plenty of people leaving throughout the first half.
It's all about being there to be seen now, not being there to create an atmosphere and witness a game.
The student section just isn't engaged like it used to be, which is sad because this is my last football season.
That night was a perfect night to be in the stadium. The weather could not have been better, the game was exciting, it was a top 10 match up, we were watching a heisman favorite...I could go on. All of those conditions should have yielded a better stadium presence. That's my humble opinion at least.

We should be okay as long as Deuce can slip some balls through when Essien and another CB close him down. Ghana continue to take the risks in defense and eventually they don't pay off.
We just have to make sure we don't let them turn us over inside our own half.

Ghana's back four looks really poor so far. It's a friendly and all, but still...

I don't even see Landon not being selected as a surprise. He was, by his own fault, not a part of qualifying. He has been out of shape and Jurgan has repeaditly said fitness was a priority. More than likely LD showed up fat and rusty and Jurgan wasn't going to entertain that.
I'm most surprised by Yeldin making it. That makes very little sense to me, unless Jurgan has plans to play him as a winger.

dubbel shite there.
He was gassed, went down after a challenge, and reacted to the ball coming back. Robben was, along with Hummels, the best player on the pitch today. He worked his arse off and deserves some credit. Even from those that do not like him.

Typical in that he scored a clutch goal against BvB?

Benzema seemed to have locked down his role in the last 4 or 5 months. Giroud has been out of form and Remy is...well Remy.
They will have one the most balanced and talented midfields at the tournament and a very solid back line. The ingredients are there for a deep run but they can't be getting in their own way if they are to do it.
Hopefully Griezmann gets an opportunity to play. I've seen him a few times this year and he impressed every single time. He doesn't really fit into the starting IX right now though.

Digne is the heir apparent on the left and has IMO surpassed what Evra offers. He is inexperienced but very good. No telling how he will perform on the big stage though.
More than likely we will see Valbuena on the right, with Debuchy overlapping on the outside. France is a team I think will do really well, as long as they are focused and have their heads completely out of their asses. So a 50/50 chance they do well.

I don't understand, why is there a rule in place if refs NEVER enforce it? He was so far off every time.

I think Sevilla would benefit from bringing on Gamerio. The game is too open for Becca.
