Is Germany still viable to get into the knock out stage or did this loss ruin them?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have not kept up with the rules.

I'm thinking two teams from each group will advance, but I'm not sure.

Germany has finished no worse than quarter finalist in every World Cup since 1938 (excluding 1950 when they were banned for a misunderstanding).

Germany has failed to make it at out of the group only one time since 1938. They're the very definition of consistency. I'll be shocked if they don't defeat Sweden and South Korea to make it out of the group.

3 pts for a win.

1 for draw

3 games.

All teams with 7 points advanced
No teams with 2 pts advanced.

Only 2 of the last 45 to finish with 3 pts advanced

Doesn't this go against the no scores deal?

Good point.

The op let on that Germany lost.

You can see if TN Buoy can get the op banned from soccer board

Stupid rule for major sport events

If someone is recording the game for later, stay off the fracking Internet

I imagine they advance, but that’s the worst i can remember seeing them look in a long time. They looked slow compared to Mexico, especially in the back.

Also Sane > timo “cuck boi” Werner

nah. Sane wouldn’t have been playing centrally anyway. blame draxler if anything.

to the OP though, there’s a 100% chance germany makes it through. bet your mortgage and then however many dollars you can borrow from mafia friends

Spain looked like shite in their opener in 2010, and they lost that game too.

Draxler was fine. Werner was shite. Timo had a prime opportunity lay it off in the first half for a great scoring opportunity, instead he cocked-up a pathetic shot. Time to pull miroslav klose off the bench.

yes, but they have no chance to win it all with Werner as their starting forward.

He's good Bundis forward, not a starter for a German national team.

And mario gomes is another wasted roster spot, he's not world cup quality.

They have quality in midfield, above average in back 4, great gk, but their forwards are not very good.

It's a shame they left Sane at home.

I agreed with Low’s decision frankly. This isn’t your typical German squad and he wanted them to play more like a Spain. Sane will certainly be made a martyr if they somehow don’t advance. I have a feeling Germany are fine and will be playing deep into the tournament.
