Is FIFA really setting us up for Saudi Arabia 2034?

I’m surprised Latin America went along with just getting scraps for 2030.

I don’t think there is a game breakdown yet, but the 2030 World Cup will include Spain, Morocco, Portugal, and will start in Latin America in Uruguay, with follow up games in Argentina and Paraguay.

Using the rules set by FIFA, which obviously don’t plan on continents having only 3-4 games, the only eligible hosts are Asia, Oceania, and I guess if the penguins get good enough, Antarctica.

I suspect the only two bids will be Australia/New Zealand and Saudi Arabia.

We’ve already started to see what a shitshow soccer in the Middle East has been this week, and Saudi hosts would make Qatar look like the best of the US and Germany.

It has been since 2002 that Japan and South Korea co-hosted so 2034 could be an option for them

Is that a serious question? As corrupt as FIFA has been of course Saudi is about to dump ludicrous amounts of coin in folks pockets with yachts full of virgins to make it happen.

So FIFA will do whatever they can to make it seem like they planned it all along as to not take down to many of the upper echelon of the group.

Saudi for 2034 is a lock.

Despite all of the controversy and bad press, the Qatar World Cup was a huge success and produced the best final in history.

Of course Saudi wants a piece of that action and so does FIFA

Qatar had nothing to do with the quality of the final.

Apparently all other potential bidders have dropped out. Saudi Arabia is their only option

Nah rather not have every game be played in the rain. Italy is a great country for the World Cup. Good weather, Fun cities, Nice People.

Australia should’ve offered to sell off a bunch of exotic animals.

Why do y'all think they have been throwing insane amounts of money at top players this past summer? They need legitimacy and credibility post haste. Throwing money at name players and name coaches is the way they think they can accomplish this.

Some top tier clubs are drawing less than conference clubs in the UK.

It seems to have worked, plus they fricked up the transfer market nine ways to Sunday. I know my club got fricked when Mitrovic "got his head turned" by the money.

Summer in Britain isn’t bad at all

It rains a lot from October to April
