I want Mexico in the final

That 2011 GC Final still makes me cringe and I mistakenly watched the highlights just now: LINK
As nice as winning in 2013 was, I want to win this thing by going through Mexico again.

I want the Confed Cup. And our chances of that happening are greatly increased if Mexico loses before the final. Not only bc it would make winning this tournament easier, but if we did lose to someone else in the final it would make the play off easier as well

This is basically the reason why I wouldn't want Mexico in the final, either.

If it does go to a 2-leg playoff... which it won't... I actually think we'd fare better against Mexico in the Azteca than Costa Rica in Saprissa.

It would be nice to beat them in the finals, but I hope they lose today . Just to shut their fans up and giving us a easier path to the Confed. Cup

The final will be a bigger deal and the game will get more pub if it's against Mexico, so I won't be upset if that happens.
But I really just want to win and clinch the Confed Cup spot. Seeing Mexico go out in the quarters would be funny also.

Dude tell me about it. We were getting harassed leaving the game after Mexico had clearly won. We weren't obnoxious or anything. Security was non existent. Par for the course for a CONCACAF organized event. Mex fans are scum of the earth.

I remember reading the horror stories from it here and elsewhere on the internet. It was an embarrassment for Concacaf and the Rose Bowl. Not like Concacaf cared, though.

If Mexico is there, probably not. The 2009 final was at Giant's stadium and apparently it was almost as bad.
