I guess I just assumed Nashville was hosting. Shame, would have been awesome to hit up there and Atlanta.

Was hoping Nashville would host as well. Had a great time at the qualifier game against Canada

For a 48 team World Cup? Probably three after the US, Canada, and Mexico

Highly doubtful. Unless they find a way to alleviate this scenario from happening..

Yeah, not sure why this is being announced now. Chicago, LA, Detroit, DC, Baltimore snubbed. Guess they didn't want a lot of foreign fans getting robbed and murdered.

DC doesn’t have a stadium, that’s why they were eliminated. The joint bid with Baltimore made no sense.

Awesome reminder that June was 6 months ago! This is a reminder for the new folks now that they have officially been put out.

all the stadiums will start growing real grass a year in advance

Curious as to how this is going to work in a stadium like AT&T and NRG, I imagine it will have to be carted inside then laid down like sod.

Fedex Field is right there. It's a hell of a lot closer to DC than Gillete Stadium is to Boston. Cities that got snubbed Baltimore/DC, Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, LA, St. Louis...I see a trend here and the trend is high crime.

I'm guessing they haven't figured out what they're going to do with turf v grass in some of those stadiums. Will be a hot debate, would be shameful to play a WC on turf.

Fifa rules mandate grass

No plastic pitches

So those cheap arse NFL teams will have grass in their stadiums

Bc the sport isn’t supposed to be played on that shite

The ball doesn’t do the same shite on a plastic pitch with that rubber shite as it does on real grass

Anyone who’s played the sport can tell you that

It’s also why so many players complain about it in MLS and the huge push for SSS was made.

I’m not going to speak for all the cities, but New Orleans has no way of playing a WC game here. The only place that has natural grass is gormley and that would be comical.

I’m not sure NOLA was ever even in the conversation.
