Saudi money taking over professional sports. First it was LIV Golf, now it’s professional soccer. How much are they going to offer Josh Allen to play American Football in Saudi Arabia?

Not uncommon for older player to end their careers playing in Middle East

Yeah, the reports I’ve seen about $207M included for “salary and advertising agreements”.

I think the $207M includes 100M euros in salary & 100M for advertising, total of 200M euros/yr.

Reported 2.5 yr deal so it’s a 500M euro($517.5M) deal.

Yeah, but after taxes, is it even worth it?

Nvm, Ronaldo don’t pay no taxes.

It was also reported that MLS was going after him… I’d imagine he’d lose a lot playing in the US.

Nobody in Saudi Arabia or UAE or Quatar pays taxes. There literally is no such thing as income tax.

If Rinaldo becomes a resident of SA, he can keep every cent.

The oil rich kingdoms of the middle east get all of their govm't income off of Petroleum taxes.

Um, you got that reversed bub. PIF led the takeover of Newcastle before LIV. They literally bought an EPL team last year and turned them into a top-four club within a year.

I knew PIF was involved with EPL & other soccer leagues, but paying 1 of the biggest stars to come play in your country is a bigger deal

Best way for your team to improve: be purchased by a Sheik or oligarch

People seem to be drunker at LIV events than regular PGA events

The answer to how much money is enough is always "more".

That is a crazy crazy crazy amount of money for two years. He's almost doubling his net worth after two years of that. He could get himself into billionaire territory for kicking a ball.
