I'm loving the clown show over there.

No more Roman to bail them out and to keep spending to mask awful spending

frick you Chelsea

He said he wanted trades and the whole going after Ronaldo screams making a statement not actually thinking it through.

He could be good, but they probably don’t have as solid as a transfer plan they probably had in the past. Which is understandable.

I'm sure this statement went over well...

quote:

"We think the global footprint of this sport is really undeveloped," Boehly said. "There are four billion fans of European football. There are 170 million fans of NFL. Global club football is a fraction of the NFL media money.

"We are also going to be thinking about, how do we get more revenues for the players?

"If you look at [the NBA's] LeBron James, for example, he has a whole business and a whole team dedicated to what's not on the court.

"So I think there is opportunity to capture some of that American mentality into English sports and really develop them."

It’s been a cluster so far but this thread is premature.

They're getting Sterling, how is it a cluster?

United and Liverpool’s owners took over money printing machines, they didn’t have to do much to keep it going. Liverpool was just miss managed financially.

Let’s not forget they were the main drivers in England behind the super league

That’s as American as it can get

The start of this Chelsea ownerships is getting rid of the football people and trying to do everything himself.

How many clubs in the PL are owned by Americans?

Arsenal
Liverpool
Chelsea
Crystal Palace (partial)
Man United
Aston Villa (partial?)
Fulham
Leeds

Am I missing anybody else?

I think the new Chelsea owner feels has to do SOMETHING
and Sterling may not be the right move

Bringing in Sterling as your big transfer and expecting fans to be happy about that shows how out of touch they are.
