Downright disrespectful from Barca. As many have said in other places on the interwebz, you would think this would sour Cesc on Barca, but it won't.
As @YoungGunsBlog was saying yesterday, why is this guy our captain? I mean I love Cesc and would gladly keep him until his contract expires. I don't have any doubt he'll give it his all for us. Still, his attitude these past two summers has not been much of an example.

I suppose it's a good thing Wenger has been so bullish with Cesc. He has a "pry him from my cold, dead, water-bottle throwing fingers" attitude about his sale.
I'm still very worried about how we'll replace him if he goes.

Haha. I wish I had a talent for coming up with songs for players. Best (only) I've ever been able to come up with was one for Kun Aguero to "Que Onda Guero" by Beck.

Mounting evidence that Arsenal might have signed Alvarez. Just read he apparently had a myriad of injury problems before this year, so hopefully that's over if he signs. Not sure about the transition from South America to the EPL either.

I still think Samba is a done deal. That plus getting Vermaelen back is enough CB activity for me.

I'm reading in Corriere della Sera that he's going to Arsenal but who knows. Honestly haven't really seen him play other than a couple of matches but Sabatini seemed high on getting him to Roma as long as the price was right.
EDIT: well, I just read that ESPN attributes the Alvarez info to a Zamparini interview so that makes it about as reliable as goal.com

What don't you like? There's not a ton of footage on him. I think that if the big clubs of Europe are on his scent there's something to be said of an expert's evaluation.

I'm not. They'd have to a wage cut to play at the level they should, and most mid-level teams aren't going to pay 50k a week for Denilson. Bendnter is a little different because he's a striker, but he isn't as good as he thinks he is. I'd be surprised if any CL team in a top league would want either.
