Probably not the most meteoric but I'm incredibly happy about Djourou. He's not world class or anything but he's a rock at the back for Arsenal. It's also nice having a GK you don't expect to screw up.

A lot of great stories for our youth and reserve players, but it's once again the only moral victory we can likely glean from the season. #debbiedowner

szczezny was a meteoric rise, wilshere improved at a steady pace with experience, nasri always had the potential while djorou defied odds to stabilize arsenal at a crucial point. but what about the comparative decline in the form of chamakh, rosicky, fabregas and arshavin(although he is coming back into his own)

It only hit me recently, but Fabregas has been noticeably worse this year. It may just be that his performances last year were so good that it was hard to repeat, especially with his injuries. He was the best MF in the Premier League last year and it wasn't close.

Fab has been pretty damn influential this season when healthy. I'd have to disagree with that.

The only reason it stands out is that he has been injured so often, and he is also missing matches that are either very important or against very tough sides. Even when he returns but is not completely healthy he is playing in very important matches(barca 2nd leg).

He has hardly been fully fit, and his injuries have been terrible timing.

Speaking of, when can we expect Walcott and Song to return?

Without our starting keeper and Djourou we need song to provide that stopper type role, and Walcott to help us outscore the opposition since we will be giving up goals regardless.

Liam Brady, our head of youth development, was quoted the other day saying they will be back for Blackburn this weekend, along with Cesc.

I expect utter destruction of Blackburn, especially now that Sam "The Matrix" Allardyce is out of commission.

Theo being out for the Barca leg was devastating. He was the one player they truly had no answer for.

Who is ready to destroy Blackburn this weekend? Who's coming back for us? Song? Walcott?

Did I miss a thread or did all my fellow Arsenal fans just slit their wrists after the Blackburn game?

You should bump Saturday's game thread. We were getting pretty angry.

What more is there to say. Same old shite. I just hope we can stay top 3 so we don't have to play more CL matches.

Remember the first half of the Newcastle game and how awesome Arsenal was? That feels like years ago.

That's when things started going downhill. frick. The Barcelona game at the Emirates was an illusion.

I'm just ready for some summer cleaning. I feel like the players I want to stick around are smaller in number than ones I want to leave. Looks like Clichy isn't going to re-up with us. I'm worried Nasri might not either.
