Obviously sucks to lose 2 points, especially when we deserved to win, but i think taking a point from their place isn’t bad all things considered. Regardless of how tomorrow’s game goes we will still have at least a 4 point lead heading into the break. Just need our guys to stay healthy this last round of qualifiers and need Gyo, Ø, Martinelli and potentially Madueke to be back for the NLD

xG was 0.44 to 2.09 in our favor.

Unfortunate but that’s variance for you. I trust this team to get it done across the season, and I suspect city and pool will continue to slip

I am legit proud of the boys effort. They gave everything.

We just needed 1 senior attacker off the bench and didn't have any.

We get Gyokeres, Madueke, Martinelli, Havertz all after the international break. I think we are in a great spot and this is the first international break in ages that benefits us

Pretty bad mistake by Raya on the second goal. You’ve gotta get that if you come for it. That’s a nothing little flip right to him if he just stays in goal.

Not going to get three every match but there is just so much pressure in the PL when you are at or near the top and drop points in a match you should win. Someone is always gaining.

Also give credit to the forward. Pretty insane finish

It was impressive to hold off Gabi and get it on target for sure but he ended up having an open net. Raya took himself completely out of the play.

Watch it again the more you do it’s a pretty egregious error from Raya. There’s no power on the flick from the forward and it’s just a little bloop towards the middle of the goal.

Arteta will be livid with him.

agreed

Raya got that all wrong

he wasn’t even trying to punch it out…he had his hands out like he was going to be the first to get to it and catch it

he’s showed moments where he does too much instead of just keeping it simple

maybe he’s just bored back there because the defense has done so well at preventing shots that he’s hardly getting any action

Yeah just punching it would have been fine

Although we wound up dropping points, the play we had leading up to scoring the equalizer & go ahead goal was some of the best we’ve played this year bar none.

Promising signs, just randomness of football getting those 2 fluke goals scored, we were due a bit of regression to the mean after 8 clean sheets in a row.

Get everyone healthy and come out the break firing.

A 1-1 City/Liverpool draw tomorrow would do a lot to assuage this result

Damn, dropping those points may come back to bight us. Raya just had to stay on his line. If you come for a ball you have to be the first one to it.

Of course city is one of the teams that has had the fewest injuries so far this season. It’s going to be a real battle with them for the title.

Well this has got to be a worse case for us. City looking back to their prime and will only be 4 pts behind us

The good news is that I'm pretty sure City hasn't played nearly as difficult the away fixtures than we have. They still have United, Liverpool, Newcastle away

We gotta focus on ourselves and just keep winning

Liverpool has lost 5 games in their first 11 games. Really good for us regarding them. City has tough away games left to it will work out in the end hopefully.

City doesn’t scare me anymore. Let’s just be frank and honest. We were just unlucky on this one abs what had 6 of our top 8 scoring players out. It was a great match and they played really well but just got unlucky on this one hitting the damn bar what 3 times? It happens.

Plus Xhaka always cost a game every season and he is still at it. (I was happy for him, like I said I hated to see him go as I think Arteta fixed him.

It's not really City, it is Pep. Without Pep I wouldn't give a frick about city really.

He is a better more experienced Manager. Arteta's strange sub pattern was back, which was I'm not going to make any subs until the 88th minute hanging onto a lead. We have a squad, and he chose not to use it this game.

Arsenal:

Before the October international break:
1 point lead over Liverpool
3 points lead over Manchester City
5 points lead over Chelsea

Before the November international break:
4 points lead over Manchester City
6 points lead over Chelsea
8 points lead over Liverpool

Still not the best feeling dropping points the way we did. But looking at the improvement we made in a month where we were missing four key players for the entirety of the period, including our captain, and then losing a further 2 starters for our final three games and suddenly the result isn’t so bad. Especially knowing we marginally increased our lead over our biggest threat (City) and that Liverpool has fallen even further behind the pack.

Wtf are you babbling about here

Mosq and MLS are the only two players worth bringing on that late in the game, and you don't make that change earlier bc you can't remove an attacking player

Perspective is everything. We are in a great spot. Get some players back and finish November strong and the narrative flips back to our dominance once again. Excited for players to get rest and the team to regroup after the international break.
