The most nervy XG scoreline I've ever seen lol

Man, wish we could have pushed the goal differential but it just comes down to getting the win on Sunday.

I believe it was another match where the opposition didn't have a SOG

Winning the Premier League in Pep's last season feels so potentially delicious. Add in the Champions League and good Lord the hard times would have been worth it

And the Saka chance/foul counts as 0 xg.

We don’t have a very technical possession based midfield as far as personnel, especially with Zubimendi falling off a cliff. He gave us that player in the first half of the season. Definitely need to address our technical quality in attack and midfield in the offseason and Mikel needs to refine some stuff tactically.
But also we just still aren’t a very good finishing team, should’ve been up 2/3-0 after the first 60 minutes and coasting. But getting that second goal just feels impossible for the team right now and then nerves kick in given the stakes.
Regardless none of that matters right now. This is how we can get win our last two games and win the double so just get it done

Would be amazing to cash in all of our xG underperformance in both the last game at Palace and in the Champions League Final
We have underperformed xG by 3.35 in the Champions League and overperformed by 4.58 in the Premier League.
Pretty sensational that we are essentially in 2 wins away from 2 trophies.
This team is built on defending and off the ball play (just don't look at the West Ham game lol)

In other news, Gabriel Martinelli and Big Gabi have both made the Brazilian World Cup team
I could cry tears of joy on behalf of Big Gabi. What a legend. His first World Cup and will start alongside Marquinhos.

Just saw an absolutely INSANE stat on Sky
Arsenal have played 14 games against sides 7-20th in the Premier League. We have conceded 4 times (Brighton, Chelsea, Spurs, Wolves). 4 goals allowed in 14 games. WOW.
Also won all of those at home. 14 games. 42 points out of 42. Insanity

Goes to show that’s where the league is won. Arsenal were the best team against big six sides the three years before this but constantly tripped up against mid table teams

Felt really nervy, maybe it really wasn't. Just general sloppiness in the 2nd half. They only had 2 shots from like 25+ yards out.
Just wish we could have gotten a 2nd or 3rd and seen that one out easliy

THIS! I saw stat recently and can remember from 2022 - 2024 we were unreal against the Big 6 teams but always dropped points to Newcastle, West Ham, Fulham, Brentford, etc.
Maybe dominating 7th - 20th and just drawing with the big 6 is what wins you the title these days?

Happy with the result yesterday, thought the front 3 needed at least 1 runner in front on Eze/Odegaard.
If you're going to start Havertz, Martinelli needs to play, if you start Vik, Trossard has to play.
A little too unbalanced. Got the ball in threatening places between the lines and just no one to pass to running behind the defensive line.

It's what City and Liverpool have done in their title wins

Boys I've now talked myself into Calafiori starting at RB in the Champions League final. Hincapie at LB. Helps with Kvaratskhelia cutting inside. Calafiori is also pretty 2 footed for a LB.

Cala is too important on the left IMO.
Think Mosquera would be fine there. Decent Cameo yesterday. As long as you've got Rice playing as the deepest midfielder you can probably play anyone there.
I think Zubi is an interesting shout, he's unreal at winning Aerial duels and just physical enough. His speed is the only real concerning thing.
It's really just how much you value the attack vs OOP stuff

Feel like I recognize this Bournemouth starting lineup from somewhere
