This is not a new issue- we simply haven't been ruthless enough in the box for years now. We would be untouchable if we were.

4 own goals, a penalty, and one regular goal are our last 6 goals in all competitions.

Crazy thing is we are 4-0. So who really cares, but man we need to start finishing games off; especially with City going on a run right now.

We are doing our job but the next 3 games are so huge.

vs Villa
at Bournemouth
vs Liverpool

GOD BLESS BIG GABI FOR BEING BACK!

I saw too many unnecessary touches today. I remember Jesus in the middle of the box taking one when the ball was already laying flat for him. Then there's the Saka opportunity at the end where he took extra touches that brought him away from the center of the goal and allowed the defender time to catch up.

they brought in big time signings and everyone assumed they’d be bashing teams

which hasn’t been the case, but atleast they are winning(ugly).

again same as previous seasons

just waiting for the mental fragility to show up at some point where they go on a string of poor performances and they find themselves chasing the points leader(city)

hope im wrong but we’ve seen this play out the same way the last three years

Makes me think we win all 3 of the next 3. Calafiori is hopefully just precautionary. Need him too but feel comfortable with Hancapie at LB. He was great there today after Gabriel came on

Tough to get a downvote for the truth. Gyorkores must start finding the net. G Jesus isn’t the answer and never has been- too much time on the ball vs taking opportunities in the exact moment. Goals from set pieces and wingers won’t be enough.

I'm tempted to say sell Vik in January to the highest bidder and try to get Semenyo.

Kai/Nelli/Jesus will be enough cover for CF

Find another 9 in the summer.

Vik has moments, but man he's just not dynamic enough with his runs or movement around the box

(FWIW I'd be shocked if Arsenal did this) They just don't have the money to do stuff like City who by the way, are going to buy Semenyo and probably end up shipping off Marmoush who they bought for $70M a year ago or Savinho who the bought for $40M couple windows ago)

The financial doping of that club is absolutely nuts

The finishing has been poor, but we've got like 1 goal from almost 10 xG in the last 4 games. We WILL finish better, I just hope it's not too late for it to matter

It’s not quite to the point where all our eggs are in the Havertz basket, but the best the team has looked under Arteta, at least offensively, was calendar year 2024 with Havertz fully bedded in as the 9. Havertz basically didn’t play in 2025 but should be back for the second half of this season.

With the caveat that he may need time to bed back in after injury, I’m not going to panic on the attacking front until we see the attacking shape with him back in the mix

The good news is we are still getting 3 points while severely underperforming our xG. Those statistical anomalies usually correct themselves.
Huge game on Tuesday.

The bad news is we are playing one of the biggest xg overperformers in Premier League history who win while consistently being battered lol

This would be a hell of a time for the xg to correct itself come Tuesday

I hate Unai Emery so much. At least he played a strong team at Chelsea. He usually saves his curve ball Champions League final ball for us. Hopefully they are tired. Will be massive having Gabi and Saliba in defense against Arsenal fan and killer Ollie Watkins

Watkins & Onana only played 30 min or so

Marty Cash & Kamara are both suspended due to yellow cards. They'll pretty much be playing someone brand new at RB, Cash has played full 90s for them in like every single PL game, & Kamara the same at DM

They are definitely benefitting in getting guys rest in their Europa league games

We win the Champions League and make a run at the league late if Havertz didn't get hurt. I firmly believe that

Luckily we haven’t done this yet where we dropped points three games in a row.

Maybe it’s a sign we have improved. But we had those runs in past seasons where we maybe drew one and lost 2. That’s an 8 point swing.

Man, if we can just start putting away our chances, this thing could be a runaway. Look at the difference in created/conceded big chances. Staggering

Villa is gonna go on one of those insane winless streaks we had with Emery

They are already on it. Time for us to end it tomorrow.

I think they didn't win any of their first 5 and now have won all since then. Okay so they've won 19/21 since September.

We really need to just start scoring more goals. Only on pace for 70. That's probably not good enough to win the league even with a stout defense.

Sounds like he's in. But the wording is weird

My expectations are tempered. He's played like 90' of football for us (excluding friendlies) since the last full 90 in February of last year

Leaves potentially just Mosquera out for a few more weeks (maybe a month)
