So which two guys will get injured now?

Big Gabi came back and we lost Cala.

It has seemed like a never ending cycle.

Kai & Ben both with the squad pre-match.

We'll see if they make the bench

A truly irreplaceable player. Game is going to be a slog now.

I assume Merino is going to replace him and that is a huge loss.

At the very least, Merino and Zubimendi have played together for like 5 years so hopefully it helps in possession and spacing.

What a massive loss fml

I think we will be okay as long as we have a healthy right back.

And this is why I was saying you can’t really make Merino a cf because he would need to play in the midfield instead of rice.

Think I'd prefer Martinelli, but hopefully he comes on at about 60'

Arteta needs to be proactive with Subs today, last few games we've had noticeable lulls before he made the subs

Maybe it’s just me but I like Trossard and Gyok together and martinelli and Jesus together.

For whatever reason martinelli looks a different player with Jesus.

Crazy how many injuries we've endured the last year and a half

Arteta saying Rice got kicked during the BHA game and his knee is pretty swollen.

Agreed those partnerships seem to work best.
Lindelof and Digne on their left back line has to be exploited

Getting caught out too often. Villa have had a few really easy counters, one Watkins should have scored.

Watching the up and down track meet isn't making me feel well. Villa latching on to through balls with the defense stretched.

That's where we really miss Rice. He's got the legs to keep up with their midfield

I'm not sure what's going on but Saka isn't getting much play, and Timber is in the center behind Ode more often than not.

Not as much control as I'd like, not really dictating pace.

If this is Arteta's new wrinkle for this match I don't think it's working. But maybe it could be on the players and they need to settle down.

It's a conundrum, you need defensive presence against the transitions, but none of the guys can dribble through and break the lines.

Ideally against Villa you play rice as a 6 and Odegaard/Eze ahead of him

Too predictable. Too slow.
