Gabriel Magalhães has changed my life. I love him. I will forever love him.
He was good when we got him but lack of English and silly mistakes (maybe the mistakes were the team around him at the time) kept him out of the team alot in year 1. He's a fricking rock. Pay him what we pay Saliba. What a signing he has been man

We’re away in Italy on Thursday and then we play at the Etihad on Sunday. We need Odegaard back asap.

Yesterday's result makes this a great week even if we have a problem getting a result on Sunday at City. I would rather 4 points back with 33 to go and you get them at home later in the season than 8 points back had we lost to Spurs.
I think at worst a draw at Atalanta and at City would really give me a massive amount of optimism.

Really need Martinelli to start being more of a menace going forward.
Got flamed a couple weeks ago, but I'll say it again. Martinelli is giving us fantastic effort on defense and on the counter. But he has not grown at all from an IQ perspective. We can't continue to blow the simple chances because he doesn't know how to lift his head up on counter attacks. We obviously signed Sterling for a reason..

Was in SC for the LSU game so didn’t watch until I came back.
Man this team defensively is amazing. While I have already thought Gabby was our best defender I have fallen in love with Kai Havertz. I just never saw this player. I hate Chelsea so I just don’t watch them.
From him to the back, the team fought and fought. He had the most clearances other than Gabriel.
Seeing us win with very important players out has settled my nerves on we don’t have enough.
Timber was a beast and even though Jorginho struggled at a point, he turned it on and finished the 90. He took that role of captain.
This team really is all in and Arteta deserves huge credit for instilling this mindset in the team and the fans. We were able to sit in a 4-4-2 and win with our determination and set plays.
Have to give a nod to Martinelli. He’s not doing it in the final third but he’s doing it on the rest of the pitch. After we scored Spurs were only taking Hail Mary shots from outside the box. The defensive work and trust from the forwards to the gk makes this possible.
I’ll just leave the quotes from Arteta on Gabriel. And we move on!

“I think the way he has evolved, first of all as a person, and then on his role at the club, at the team has been phenomenal,” reflected Arteta.
“It’s been great to watch. This is why we are here. This is one of my passions to give players the environment, to give players the support, the education, the coaching, to grow and to prepare them for the life and to prepare them to get to levels that probably they didn’t think before.
“And Gabi is certainly one of the best examples of that. Why? Because he loves what you do. He applies himself incredibly well and he wants it. And when that happens, normally good things happen to this kind of people.”

He's been better this season, I really think having a top class LB and (hopefully) top class left sided midfielder will do wonders for Martinelli. I wish we had another Odegaard to play on that side.

Doesn’t seem to matter the regime or the training program, all these injuries are ridiculous.

I hope Nwaneri plays a bunch this season. After losing so many attackers in the market without buying anyone, we desperately need one of the academy kids to make a massive jump. With the way things are going, Chido Obi made a massive mistake leaving. He would be in line for bench appearances and is like two injuries away from playing a lot. I still think letting ESR leave was a mistake.

Looks Like Odegaard has a high ankle sprain... I imagine that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks
Maybe we can get him and Merino back together

I imagine Nwaneri gets a fair amount of minutes tomorrow. Jorginho looked pretty gassed after the NLD and with the City game on Sunday surely Arteta will want to have J20 as fresh as possible.

Thinking the same. Just feels like his kind of match.

Dumb foul, then a shite penalty, followed up by a brilliant save.
I know his pk save record wasn’t great previously, but at Arsenal it’s got to be one of the best.
