Premier league has turned into a farmers league. Man city about to win 5 out of 6 years. Truly insane people are rooting for that, but it is what it is.

Brighton came to the Emirates and put on a clinic. That was absurd, I was so frustrated watching that but Brightons football was so pure. Gotta respect it in a way.

The primer league has turned into one? Manchester United won 8 of first 11 premier leagues and won 5 from 2006-13. It’s just a different team now.

I honestly think this was over when they got the MC score. Obviously, Saliba was the MVP of the defense and once he was out we were done. I didn’t realize that watching the games but the results speak for themselves.

I expect us to loss or draw at Nottingham Forest too. They are fighting for their lives, we look really tired. I would use the match to get some game experience for younger players that will be hungry, start ESR etc. It’s doesn’t matter now it’s time to see who is worth keeping and can play well in real game situations. Disappointed with this game but still not disappointed with the season. MC is clearly the best team. We were second best but the youngest and going in the right direction and that has to be good enough for now

Wait, we're hating on Ramsdale now? Arsenal wouldn't be where they are today without him this season.

I saw a graphic today about after Saliba got injured our run of form has been less than stellar.

4 wins 3 draws 2 losses

In hindsight that is not a terrible, but when you are competing for a Premier League title it is. Saliba and Tomiyasu injuries killed us, they really did.

The reason we didn't make top 4 last year was because of defensive injuries and that is the same reason why we won't win the premier league title this year. Absolute pain.

Regardless. 2 games left to get to 87 points which I would still be very happy with and every single Arsenal fan would have gladly taken in August.

The Saliba injury killed us. Regardless, 2nd is a massive achievement, especially when you consider where everyone predicted we would end up. Seriously, with our lack of depth we had no business competing for the title, and especially not against City’s two billion dollar squad. The team has thrived under Arteta and most of the key players are very young. We obviously need quality CB and midfield depth but there is so much to be positive about. Disappointed yes, but the future is bright.

It absolutely sucks but had you told me we would finish 2nd at beginning of season I would have taken it. We are simply not there yet but we sure as hell are closer than we were at this point last year. Injuries and lack of depth were always going to be the downfall. I was fearful it would happen during the World Cup but we managed to escape with the exception of GJ.

Couldnt have said this better myself. Disappointed with the finish but overall anyone of us would have taken a >80+ point 2nd place finish before the season started. You can’t have Rob Holding starting multiple games and expect to win the Premier league.

It's true: Granit Xhaka expected to leave Arsenal this summer after seven years at the club.

Swiss captain seeking new challenge. Already informed Mikel Arteta about his decision, but fully focused on final games.

Need Rice, Caicedo, and another mid for sure.

Caicedo and Zubimendi can be had for 130mm. Rice by himself is 100mm plus. Two for one.
