re: Arsenal 2021/22 Season Thread - 5th Place :(

Like I said before, all of this isn't bad business. The players we got rid of were brilliant because they were dead weight players who were not playing, just taking up our wage bill.

Now that being said Edu needs to realize that this only works (not signing anyone) if Pepe and Smithe-Rowe start balling out again.

Pepe needs to really start scoring at will. He did well at AFCON so hopefully his confidence is back because holy hell do we need him to produce literally every game going forward.

Releasing Auba saved us $27-$29 mil off our wage bill so I'm also happy about that.

I'm not shocked though, I always assumed the strategy was get rid of what you can and load up in the summer. They were never going to drop an insane amount of money this January. 17 Players is enough for 17 games in 102 days, I think we will be fine as long as the boys stay in form.

Exactly. Staying fresh and healthy is much more manageable. That being said Arsenal needs to be bold and attack..attack and attack.

Agree 100%. Eddie is essentially worthless.
We are going to need to strikers this summer. I realized that our top targets would have been unattainable for a reasonable price but I’m not sure why they didn’t go after another option with Laca and Eddie leaving free this summer. We are going to need 2 strikers this summer.

What he did was dumb but I think that was complete bs.

He never actually got cautioned the first time.

This was a crazy 1-0. I still hate Xhaka even though I’m starting to think he’s our best midfielder. Partey was shite in the first half and the dude can’t pass that well.

Cedric played great. Holding played great.

Laca did some good things but he should have put the game away and at times is just too deep like on that one Martinelli run through the middle.

Our two center backs are beasts but for the live if god Gabriel, don’t time waste with 25-30 minutes left. Stop that bullshite.

I thought Martinelli was our best player until the incident. And it was strange because I thought he was handling himself well with them fouling him. Then he just lost his mind for a second there.

Oh and Eddie sucks. I’m sorry but his situation is fricked. He’s a back up that doesn’t want to be here.

I think 10 wins in the last 16 and 2 or 3 draws will see us to top 4. shite may even catch Chelsea but I'm not getting ahead of myself
