Saving this thread from the second page. How is everyone feeling about the MANU match Sunday? Even though they are down, I'll take a draw at Old Trafford. I'd like to see Welbeck get a run in at central striker to start. Then you bring on Giroud if we need him in the second half. He was great for us as a sub at the beginning of the year. That could bring his confidence back. I don't know if trying something new at OT is a good idea, but Ramsey needs some sort of shakeup. Either leave him on the bench for a game or move him to the RW.
Whatever we do, I'm looking forward to this one. I've been out of town every weekend for the past month. So, I'm looking forward to sitting on my couch with a coffee and seeing if we can recover from the midweek defeat.

They seem to be missing like 8 starters basically so I'm feeling pretty good.

I'm just afraid that if we drop points we won't catch Leicester.

For some reason i don't feel great about it.

Welbeck will start. Either on the right or centrally.
I'd love to see Alexis-Welbeck-Theo/Campbell. Get that interchange up top we had last time we thrashed United.

Damn. Norwich was less than 10 minutes away from doing us a huge favor.

Seems the nature of this season, Leicester find a way.

So what are we to make of the rumors that Ox is for sale this summer?

Yeah that stung.

I personally don't think the Ox is all that great and that we need to upgrade. If he's for sale and we buy someone better I'm fine with that. I much prefer Campbell for our style. With Theo, Welbeck, and Jack or Aaron all options there, too, I have no issues with it.

I think Ox can be a contributor. But still just waiting for him to turn that corner and put it all together...

Ox is out for a while with that injury right?
Posted on 2/27/16 at 8:52 pm to DB10_AFC
i certainly don't wish ill will on him but he got hurt doing exactly what he always does that aggravates me about him.
Overdribbling to the point where he eventually has too hard of a touch that gets the ball taken away from him.

I don't think Campbell or Ox are up to the level we need. Both are still promising though. Neither have ever reached the production Theo had between 2010 and his injury. Theo is not even a great winger but he could produce because he never asked for the ball to feet and provided an outlet for the passers. Ox and Campbell are the opposite of that, and they tend not to produce all that much despite how much they are on the ball. Ox, in my view, shouldn't be a winger, but a CM who can provide ways out of tight situations with his dribbling.
If this is a reaction to Ox's missed sitter, I think the chance was not as easy as people claim. Ox was off balance, the ball came to him quickly, and there were four Barcelona players, including the GK, between him and the goal. It wasn't a surprise he missed the chance to be honest. I hope he isn't sold because, outside of Mahrez, there aren't very many immediate upgrades. He still has lots of potential, is among the best dribbler's in the team, and is young and English. No doubt Mourinho would love him.
Despite the fact that people felt Arsenal were hard done by in the Barcelona game, looking at the game again, it was clear that Barcelona had control for the majority of it. We had excellent shape and we proved extremely hard to break down. The goals they got were the result of extremely poor decision making, but they had three other goalmouth chances that Cech did well with (while the Suarez chance hit the post). We are clearly not on their level. I just hope we can do well enough in the league to ensure a shot at the title.

You have to beat man u. They are not very good. I would like to see welbeck up top. Yeah I don't mind Ramsey at RW, but that's only because Santi is fit and playing the pivot with coquelin. Rather Ramsey over flamini unless they go with a 4-1-2-3 like we saw early in the season with ox playing centrally.
Well if ox is out then you just go with Barca lineup with either welbeck or campbell on the wing.

I think the Ox needs a loan where he will get consistent playing time instead of actually selling him. If he doesn't progress while on loan then you sell him.

Walcott up front, Welbeck on the right, Giroud to the bench. Interesting... Kinda really hoping Welbeck grabs another goal. Oh and Gabriel replacing Mertesacker.

Its the starting lineup that we wanted. I expect a big game from Welbeck. Really hope Sanchez breaks out of his funk. We desperately need the goal threat that he can provide.
