Great result. Have to keep the goal differential small in Germany. Might come down to that final match in Greece, can Arsenal overtake Olympiakos in goal difference.

Hector is so good. Costa came to play, and Bellerin was up for the challenge. Then to do what he did going forward.

He's probably the most valuable right back in the world in terms of what he would sell for. And I wouldn't sell him for the world at this point.

Just needs an official cap for Spain. He is the best right now in the EPL and has improved every aspect of his game.

What a match. frick the naysayers, we are getting out of group and will actually make some noise. Gutted that Ramsey had to come off, but today is the day that Ox has to put on the big boy pants.

Yea he was just finding his scoring form too. This is Ox's chance to prove himself. I feel he has been average so far this season. I like the system of Theo starting games and Giroud as a super sub. It is working so I wouldn't change it.

Tim Stillman wrote an article around deadline day where the subject was basically Giroud was never bought to be our #1 for long. He was bought to basically play the role he is playing now; come on as a sub, batter tired defenders, and provide an option to outlet the ball to. The problem is that we have just struck out on finding anyone that is an improvement over him.

I remember that column well. Theo is doing a job as a CF but has obvious limitations.

They balance each other well.

How bad was the Ramsey injury? And what was the injury?

I'm not going to point any fingers but I seem to recall a certain someone pointing this out this morning.

It's going to be very hard to keep that guy from going back to Barcelona in a year or two.

Financially Arsenal are much more capable of keeping their players now. Plus, he is saying all the right things about staying. Cesc always said he wanted to go back, Hector hasn't said that at all.

I read an interview where he basically said, "Arsene and the club believed in me, so this is where I belong." I hope he keeps that mindset for the next ten years at least.

Looked like a hamstring injury.

quote:

Aaron Ramsey was the top runner again today, clocking up 7439 meters in just 56 minutes of play. That’s 133 meters per minute and basically he was running the length of the Emirates pitch (105m) plus 1/4 every minute for 56 minutes.

That probably explains it...

Q: You’ve just signed a new contract, but do you see yourself returning to Barcelona?

A: Nobody has ever asked me this before (laughs)! I came to Arsenal to stay here, I’m not thinking about going back. I’m happy and I’m playing. It’s my fifth season and I feel like this is my home. I see it as very difficult to leave.
