Welbz sure misses a lot of great chances.

Exactly. People criticize Arsene when he went full bore attack and Arsenal were caught in the counter multiple times. He plays a bit more conservative today, knowing Chelsea would sit tight and selectively counter, and now he's criticized for not attacking enough. Silly. His tactics today were fine. Arsenal just didn't catch a break.

We kept trying to center the ball in the air to Giroud while he had Terry and Cahill on him. We also tried forcing it down the middle, and that didn't work. We had no penetration all game, and the players refuse to shoot from distance. This game was always going to be difficult, but watching that was frustrating.

I agree that we didn't create enough width, which hindered is going forward, but I don't mind trying different things throughout the game. Crossing, pursuing through the middle, etc. All fine with me. Can't be too one dimensional. Only wish we would have been wider more.

Would have been nice if we had tried a new strategy before the 85th minute.

You had a stone cold penalty and red card not given and two other fouls in the box that didn't get called.

Oh and all our strikers weren't fit.

You're a negative fan aren't you? Man U did exactly what you're suggesting last week and also didn't score. Terry, even at 35, might still be the best defender in the world when he's parking the bus and defending what's in front of him. Crosses, intricate play, he and Cahill eat it all up.

Last year featured two of the greatest attacking teams in PL history in Man City and Pool, Mourinho and Terry went in looking for 0-0 draws against both teams and achieved it, or bettered it in some cases.

Individually Terry helped ole Bobby Mateo and David Luiz successfully park the bus against an historic Barcelona side. Individually Mourinho has successfully parked his way to two CL titles. Together they're one of the greatest bus parking duo's of all-time.

The only, repeat the only, way to defeat this tactic is to be ahead of them in the league and make Mourinho come out of his shell. Make Terry play a high line and defend 360 degrees of space. Bc they have proven over and over again their ability to get 0-0 draws against literally any team in the world when they want.

There's no shame in this result, nothing to wring our hands about. This result was destined as soon as Chelsea entered March with a 10 point lead, or whatever it was.

No problem with the tactics or how the team was set up. Who else to play on the rt other than Ramsey? But in this instense, we played into their hands, but wore them down. When it came to winning the game, ozil scuffed his chance. That has been the diff between us and Chelsea all season. Hate terry and the bunch aall you want, but they showed how to defend when it means it the most. They have had injuries and have over played players but still get results. I love arsene, but again will fall short. But I enjoyed the energy from the team, things didn't come off, it happens. This squad just looks diff than in years past. So much passion and want to.

Ehh, shite evened out like always. Keeper went for ball, ur keeper dropped ball untouched. Maybe a handball frim arsenal late, but a clear handball to me from Chelsea. Ivonavich should have been sent off. Even in the no calls all game from that fig, should be no surprise. Michael Oliver is a shite ref, no team has a rt to complain.

Only problem I had, can't score if you don't shoot. Few times we had them, made a pass that either went astray or allowed Chelsea to get back. That is on the players. The one time Sanchez should have cut in and scored, he botches the pass to giroud when the d was spread. I can blame arsene for a lot, but not for that.

In every case, we won all 4 of those games.

Funny that we are 2nd in the league in scoring and that was, I think, our second game without a goal all season and that only because of poor refereeing.

One handball appeal not quite the same as a stone cold pen, probably red and two other fouls in the box not called.

Don't even know what any of that means.

Ivanovic had two very late fouls in the first five minutes, including one on a break, that should have been easy yellows. The yellow he did get should have been his second, and therefore he should have been off.

If you want to go there Coquelin should have been sent off as well for a late and high challenge on Hazard which should have been an early yellow (if you are asserting Ivanovic's should have been). Thus, the yellow he did finally receive would have been his second.

Yeah I commented in the match day thread that Chelsea started with same tactic they did in the first game: kick the shite out of Sanchez

Ivanovic 100% should have gotten a yellow early in the game when he went studs up in to Alexis' Achilles.

I can understand mentioning the Fabragas one, but including Oscar's dive in that just makes it hilarious

How many yellows did Hazard draw yesterday?

Why would we want to kick Sanchez, aside from Terry he was our most valuable player yesterday.
