I highly recommend listening to this week's Arsecast Extra with Phillipe Auclair and Amy Lawrence.

I second that opinion. I listen to quite a few soccer podcasts over the course of the week, and this was one of the best podcast episodes I've heard. Was very insightful, thought provoking, and relevant at all times.

I've heard each of them on other podcasts, but the fact that they could speak for ample amounts of time on the teams that they cover(and clearly enjoy) the most was a treat for every Arsenal fan.

That creeped me out, because it was in perfect rhythm to a song that is playing in my apartment right now.

Apparently Welbeck picked up a knock and was subbed today.

Didn't look serious. He should be fine.

If true, this comment on the Mail article is pertinent:

If true, it makes the decision to pass on re-signing Cesc even more of a howler.

Link?

ETA: Daily Mail. Not a good source, but I wouldn't be shocked if he wants out. We're taking John Stockton and playing him at the 2. I'd want out, too.

Doesn't mean it's not true. But the story linked him to Bayern...where I'm pretty sure he wouldn't play as a No. 10. Silly season starts early.

the daily mail has absolutely zero credibility. and espn fc is a shite show. the half way decent pieces aren't even worth mining through the mire anymore.

I don't believe that for a second. My son called me last night freaking out. I said, "Daily Mail, no care". Wenger just has to come to the realization that his best position is a drifting number 10. Our two best performances were at Villa and Galatasaray when he played that role. It isn't a coincidence.

I've quit even watching the show they have on ESPN2 or whatever channel it comes on now. Their "analysis" is pretty worthless and doesn't make a whole lot of sense most of the time.

When you have people like Stuart Robson (supposedly a former Arsenal player, if you can believe it) coming on a show like ESPN FC as a guest, you think you might hear something of substance. But no. For whatever reason, Robson and people like him love going out and saying anything negative he can about Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, the players we have now, etc. I don't know that I've actually heard him say anything in the media that is positive toward Arsenal even though he is a former player.

This is the same guy who just recently made comments in the wake of Arsenal's defeat to Chelsea that Arsene Wenger would take Chelsea out of the Top 4 if he managed their team because he's such an inept manager. How much sense does that make considering Arsenal has never been outside the Top 4 itself under Wenger?! Riiiiight.
