Basically, yes.
In several cities, Russian soldiers have gone to the city hall or dwelling of the mayor and said “we control this now. Don’t resist or there will be trouble. Cooperate. The mayor then says okay and asks the troops to please not kill or harass innocent civilians.
At least that’s what I’ve seen from a few media outlets.

This guy… I don’t believe him. He’s too eager to draw the world into his problems. His government continued to shell Russians. The West used him to play political games with Russia and Russia had enough. They invaded in large part because of these reasons. Let these assholes fight it out and keep us out of it.

Zelensky wasn’t even elected till 2019-2020. The guy that help Clinton was defeated by Zelensky. If the USA was in the position Ukraine is in today then the US POTUS would be doing the same thing. Churchill tried to get FDR to join Britain in WW2 long before we were attacked by the Japs. When England was all by its lonesome after the Nazis captured France Churchill was begging FDR to join the war. Zelensky is just doing what any good leader would do in that situation and find help for his country and people.

And we didn't join until Hitler declared war on us. In a conflict far beyond shithole Ukraine when looking at the big picture.
Saying that, I don't recall Churchill whining like a bitch daily saying the world was going to end if the US didn't pull his fat out of the fire.

That’s because Churchill did any begging and whining in private. Plus there was not a 24hr news cycle then. After the Japs attacked the US was getting into the war in Europe no matter if the Nazis had declared war or not. The Russia and Ukraine conflict is a way bigger issue than you are giving it credit for. It is more than entirely possible you go to bed one night and the free world is at peace and wake up the next morning and we all are at war because the Russians shot off a rocket or missile went off coarse and over a boarder of a NATO country and strikes the right target like a daycare or some place like that and then Article 5 kicks in. That’s all it would take. Russian tech isn’t known for being dependable. WW3 can start just that easy so I wouldn’t discount this war.
