It’s an absolutely valid comparison.
Jungle (Vietnam), wooded hills (Revolution), rugged mountains (Afghanistan), etc.
The deciding factor is not topography. It’s an entrenched fighter that KNOWS the topography, can exploit it, and is willing to fight a guerilla war for as long as it takes for the invader to give up.
I’m not saying they should, or that modern weapons have not changed the model, but Ukraine is still fighting a lot longer than anybody thought they would. Putin may very well be looking for an exit ramp that saves face, but Trump seems to be less convinced of that these days.

i dont think russia wants one either but yea pretty much nailed it
1) russia is not our friends, need to start acting like it. they are a shitty country with shitty leadership
2) ukraine is a dog shite country with even worse leadership and is not our friend in any shape or form
yea we interfered with in ukraine but so did russia, russia is the one that decided to invade
not Zelensky and europe do not want peace. Im not sure russia does either but i do feel they are more inclined to take exit ramp
but in the end I do not want our money, time, effort, equipment going to fund anything over there for either side. frick em. and we should pull out of nato. let the europeans handle european issues. frick them always sucking off the tit and undermining us
