No, frick them. Just cause you say I am seeking asylum doesn't grant you asylum. Not to mention they should be requesting asylum in Mexico as most of these are coming from Central America. frick them.

Then hold the damn hearing. The laws of the United States (and pretty much every other civilized country) guarantee asylum seekers a hearing to determine their applications. That is the process that they are due under U.S. law. Hold the hearings and make a decision.

Another thing is that this population of asylum applicants has absolutely nothing to do with "sanctuary cities." So-called sanctuary cities are places where local law enforcement resources are not enforcing immigration status issues, leaving enforcement to federal immigration officers. The asylum seekers are here on a legal status. Some of you can't understand this. This population that we are discussing are here legally here. They don't have any more or less protection in a sanctuary city than they do in any other city.

I agree. Sheriff Joe should be appointed Judge and sit there hearing their story and saying yes/no on the spot.

If you are seeking asylum it should be the first country you come to once leaving your shithole. Would that not be Mexico?

No they don't. They are just spewing bs. Just look at all the sanc cities crawfishing with their reasons of why they don't.
Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, and Oakland mayors, along with many others, have said they would welcome them. Even Yuma's Republican mayor want them but Trump is dumping too many in a short period of time for a relatively small city to handle.

Just saw on FOX, a film clip, where over 300 people from three buses crossed the border yesterday. Guess where they crossed. It wasn't a point of entry but at a location where there was no fence. Good odds that was not an isolated incident either. You think some city actually wants people who are admitted criminals by doing what they did. I don't.

Exactly right.

Both sides sitting around with their thumb up their arse is bad for everyone.

Trumps immigration policy has been a complete failure. He is being run all over by leftist judges. He needs to tell them to frick off and do what he wants anyways

Of course mayors nowhere close to the border where these people are entering said they would take them, they know they’re never going to get there. It’s a meaningless statement

Maybe the Army can build housing

Or you know, we could send them back. frick building a house for an illegal when we currently aren’t building a house for our own homeless.

Oh and by the way, i’m guessing your liberal arse was against the Army funding the wall, but it’s fine if they fund housing for illegals.

They aren't illegal. You seem to keep missing that.

Save resources by not flooding the system. Legalize DACA. Don't prosecute non-criminal illegals. Stop metering at ports of entry. Actually increase funding for judges.

Why is Trump so terrible at his signature issue?

Why is immigration getting worse under Trump policies, when Obama had it at the lowest levels in a generation?

El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua are releasing prisoners and the government is telling them to get out of their country and to join the caravans. If the prisoners don't join the caravans to the US then they will be killed by the government. It is ridiculous the media hasn't started mentioning this yet.

Doubtful, those caravans are tiny in comparison to the number of undocumented immigrants Trump is allowing to cross into the country.
