These people are registered asylum seekers whose cases have not been adjudicated. They can't vote.

These people are not immersed in the American political system. They likely aren't very liberal anyway.

They are here on legal status awaiting hearings on their asylum applications.

If we want to move them out of the U.S., we need to follow U.S. law, hold the damn hearings and make a ruling one way or the other on the asylum applications.

The executive branch has the power to hire more immigration judges to move the cases more rapidly. Otherwise, these families get settled in American society, legally, while awaiting the hearings, which presently are taking years to docket and complete.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that the people keep coming because the federal government has no plan to decide their asylum applications anytime soon. There's your incentive. If the cases were resolved quickly, and the BS asylum applicants were deported rapidly, then people would have less incentive to come.
