Implies the glacier has increased in depth during a time period where recreational hiking was possible in the area. So that glacier hasn't been melting for the last 50 years because Al Gore told me otherwise...

With a few million tons of rocks, boulders and other debris trapped in a typical glacier, I'm pretty sure a few hundred pounds of poop won't really be noticeable in a lateral moraine.....
