Dude’s messing with some powerful people.

I appreciate that he’s raised awareness and even moreso, that trump has given him a higher platform from which to raise that awareness to new heights.
I pray that he is successful in this crusade.

I do, it’s insane. It doesn’t stop with food, use the app to scan cosmetic products like deodorant, soap, shampoo etc. The amount of carcinogens and endocrine disruptors are insane.

You body doesn't care which one you eat. If a bunch of fats are convinced that they wouldn't be fat if they just had 50g of table sugar per meal instead of HFCS they're just wrong and probably looking for a scapegoat.

Even in Europe where many of these chemicals are banned/limited, they have an increasing obesity issue. More than 50% of Europeans are overweight.

Yep. The issue is cumulative.

The mortality rates produced from the CDC life tables generally do.

Hey, there are a lot of things to go after, but I really don't see how HFCS is a major target. It's a scapegoat.

It has the same fructose-glucose ratio as honey. Do we need to ban honey?

It's the AMOUNTS that people eat, and the lack of exercise. Not so easy to regulate that, but people need to be educated. There was still fat people back in the day. Eat too much and you get fat. Now it's been normalized with super-size everything, and relatively cheap high-calorie food.

Do NOT forget that Democrats, by their vote oppose health reform and support the poisonous status quo. So no mercy when they start pretending they are on board because not only did they vote against it, but they’ve been hysterical and delusional in their opposition.

I switched to JES Organics for soap and shampoo. Owned by a conservative Christian RN. Great customer service, and it's not crazy expensive.

I've noticed that my scalp is doing a lot better now.

I do! It’s great! It covers all kinds of products and I’ve quit using certain brands because of it

Amazing how times change. Just a few years ago we were all bitching about the Mayor of NYC trying to put a limit on soft drinks.

I don’t think that’s the same thing at all. He’s not telling you that you can’t buy shite.

He’s questioning why our government agencies don’t regulate poisions being put in our food since big food FDA and big pharma are in bed together when these poisons are banned in the rest of the west.

Nope, sucrose can be metabolized throughout the body. Fructose can only be metabolized in one place, the liver.

Why do I suspect you’re in the corn industry?

HFCs is fricking horrible for the body. As I said previously unlike sucrose it can only be metabolized in the liver and furthermore the body shuts down all metabolic processes to metabolize it. Fructose and Sucrose are both sugars but the human body does not treat them as equals.
