No, really.
This is an actual news story. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by idiocy anymore, but this one go my attention...
Actual sweater worn by student pictured below
And yes, I would seriously consider suing the school district if this happened to my kid & I am fundamentally against frivolous lawsuits
teacher must hate "fat kids" (this girl is not thin, but not grossly overweight either - would not call her "plus sized")
Attorney: 'Busty' teen kicked out of class for wearing this outfit

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Joplin High School teacher told a student that she was too "busty" and kicked her out of class for a dress code violation, according to an attorney who represents the teen.
Kelsey Anderson, 17, was wearing a long-sleeved maroon top and blue jeans on Friday when the teacher told Anderson that "plus-size women" need to shop at stores that sell plus-size clothes, according to a news release from attorney Elizabeth Turner.

No pics of the fun bags? Booo!

If that happened at my local school, I'd be the school board member pushing to have that teacher fired. There is no call for this type of behavior from teachers. Whether the student's dress is appropriate or not, those kind of comments are not.

Honestly, it's past time to make fat shaming a hate crime. People of size for the most part can't lose weight. If you have larger dna you can try all the diets in the world and get a planet fitness membership and still not lose weight

How big of a gal are you?

I'd like to see a pic of the teacher. That would probably explain a lot.

Sounds like that teacher made an idiotic decision. Anyone in their right mind would disagree with it

Did you just use the word "gal"? I'll have you know that that is a sexist term dating back to the colonial times that is short for "galley wench"

I read that as him taking something not particularly funny, twisting it and making it into something else of his own that was not particularly funny.
The, umm, bigger DNA part and the reference to planet fitness pretty much give it away.
I hope this teacher gets shitcanned. Everyone is too sensitive these days but blatantly disrespecting a student in front of the whole class (that's the kicker to me) is just pathetic.

Are you saying, that you couldn't fit in a galley?
