They voted for socialism in "protest". If these are the people we "need", then our country was already lost.

Some good news for the future is the largest shift to the Democrat party was a response to the War in Iran.
Great, we will soon be the UK.

[quote]Look at how the market reacted. Wall Street voted Democrat this time around. And I don’t blame them.[/quote
I look at this differently. I see this as corporations fully expect ZERO to happen in DC for two years. They are celebrating government getting out of their way for two years.
In no way was the market increase a “celebration” of the election results

I’d be curious what the actual break down of these groups would be:
18-29 that voted right both times,
18-29 that went right 24 and left 26
18-29 that went right 24 and didn’t vote
18-29 that didn’t vote in 24 and went left this year.
My thought is the last group would be the largest followed by the didn’t vote and the right both and very few actually swung their votes. It’s possible the 18-29 cohort had low left leaners in 24 and then they rallied not being in power, and you also have the ones that are clear right leaning that were upset over being betrayed the first time.

none of this is remotely believable based on your post history.

If you think Young Males shifted just because of the Iran war, than you’re not really paying attention. Young males shifted because they realized Republicans policies will never help them with affordability issues.

I’ve been saying. The younger generation love Massie and despise our commitment to Israel, and got downvoted repeatedly for my observations

They love him so much yet they didn’t go vote for him in the primary. It was his worst age category.

Democrat policies won’t help young males but at least they’ll pretend. Republicans don’t even make the effort. You need more data centers!

Wonder how many 18-40 year olds support Ukraine war though

No one wants to wake up and wonder if the POTUS will slap 100% tarrifs on a country because they didn’t play to his ego.
That's about number 1000 on the list for why young men flipped this election. It goes to show how profoundly out of touch so many of you are on both sides.

So which is it?
What can you do for your country?
Politicians and the Federal Gov’t work for us?
In either scenario, Republicans betrayed a very large portion of the voters who gave them power in 2024.
Blaming voters as selfish isn’t the way.

They are going to especially be disappointed when nothing in the economy will change and all the Dems do is go for retribution against the Republicans (whoever they are anymore). Like it or not, the Iran war is going to have to play out until there is an exit strategy; the second biggest mistake Trump made only to starting it in the first place.

This is a perfect example of what we were discussing yesterday in the 18-30 thread.
The GOP has no idea how to address this demographic after Kirk’s death. What makes it worse is you have people like this jizzle fella who are incredibly average at best talking down to this demographic because they cannot cognitively comprehend the economic circumstances that causes them to feel isolated.
This demographic was instrumental in delivering Trump the White House in 2024 and he completely abandoned them in policy. Can’t be shocked when they turn their backs on him.
But, hey, it’s easier to hurl ill-understood insults than try and meet this demographic where they are.

The data center shite was such a stupid thing to get involved with in midterms. It’s an 80/20 issue and the right chose to go to the 20 and then scream when turnout was bad.
The common sense route was to shut down the data center stuff until after midterms, if you want to make what you believe to be the correct move despite public opinion you do that in a year there isn’t an election. Same shite with Iran, either break the no new wars promise as soon as you get in or wait until after midterms.

Probably so, but calling them idiots is a microcosm of what the Republican general stance has been since Iran: to either ignore, obfuscate, gaslight, or generally dismiss people’s pain from it all.
Like I have seen all over social media claiming a new age in religion to follow the Freak.
Just mavelous dalink.

Young males shifted, largely, because they see America as a vassal state for Israel.

The new Dem Governor of Texas will open the Border…again. And the Dem Congress will back her up.
The now-poignant “American Dream “ to own their own place, raise a loving family and enjoy exceptional affluence has now become a pipe dream. The chance of even owing a home, having a secure job, and enjoying a lasting marriage with a unified family is highly unlikely to say the least.
We are headed to collapse and reboot. What else is new in the human historical record.
