You Can Not have it both ways. Either Russian military is weak or they are not...

Always has.
I see posters talking about how the Russian military is weak and that the Ukrainian forces are pushing their junk in.
Let's just talk about that. If the Russian Military is this weak, then why is NATO dicking around? just move in and be done with it right?
It's real easy to put in a no fly zone if the Russian Military is that weak.
So why hasn't NATO and the rest just end this?
Anybody got any suggestions?

Having a military several steps below the US still doesn't mean the Russians don't have enough nukes to level half of Western civilization.

I don't think they are high quality.
But they are high quantity.

Historically, Russia has always been willing to trade casualties for progress while Americans prefer lower casualties over progress.
The Russian army is in no means weak and if you think they are currently losing this war because Twitter posted a helicopter getting shot down then you are a fricking idiot!

The Russians can't fight at night, Army is 75% conscripts, their Air Force is good at bombing undefended airspace, but will run at the first sight of Coalition air defense's. Russian Navy is an absolute joke. SOSUS has been around for decades, and Russian/Chinese Navy's still can't figure it out. If you've been in the Military anytime in the last 40 years you already know this.
It comes down to leadership/political will which the US/NATO lacks in spades.

You’re normally a much better poster than this.
Russia’s conventional forces are showing the weakness. We’d freakin kick their teeth in over a 24 hour timeframe if NATO went in hard.
The problem isnt taking out conventional forces, its what the wounded animal we have backed into a corner would do with their unconventional forces.
Cyber, chemical, nuclear. You honestly think if we rolled in and made putin choke on his front teeth, he wouldn’t push the big red button? You willing to gamble global nuclear winter on it?

Russia’s military is weak in some aspects of logistics and it is undermining their ability to execute an invasion.
Russia actually has pretty solid defensive-minded logistics due to their expansive, mostly state-owned rail system that allows them to rapidly pivot heavy equipment between their eastern and western frontiers.
They also have the largest nuclear warhead cache in the world.
Their domestic defensive capabilities are sound and their first-strike capabilities for global missiles w/ nuclear warheads is fearsome.
Russia is just fighting a war they are not doctrinally suited to fight. That is a sign that Russia’s political wing is not aligned with their military wing. They needed a generational shifting of their military equipment and a large redesign of their logistical doctrine once they get off rails. The fact they did this without making those changes tells me they are acting out of economic desperation that existed even before the sanctions started. You only make this play if you desperately need Eastern Ukraine’s resources to stay a global factor in the 21st century.

I think a lot of what is being reported is fake news manufactured to make Russia look weak on the world stage.

Having at least 5 aircraft shot down in one day, a week after claiming you've established total air superiority, isn't exactly winning either. If the supply of western military equipment continues to flow, this is not a sustainable war for Russia. I'm not predicting Ukraine is going to win this but they are certainly doing better than Vlad expected.

No military today will look strong invading foreign turf with 40+ million people that has both Soviet military equipment, and enough modern NLAW, MANPADS, and Stingers to equip every civilian with. We gave billions of critical equipment and training to them and trained them probably for the past 10+ years.
US army wouldn't do any better. Our current woke military might be an even softer paper tiger than Russian one.

Rolling up to the doorstep of russia with the entire military might of the west is a far cry from the kinds of sanctions we’ve been screwing around with for years.

People need to stop saying this. They will not use a nuke just like we wouldn’t. We could strike those convoy trucks and they would do nothing. Trump would have taken out a few of those trucks and told Putin what he would do if the line was crossed. A leader leads Biden and the rest of the UN are spineless.
