Hypothetically speaking, you have just become President on June 17, 2022. You inherit the exact same make up of Congress with the exact same current leadership and legislative rules. The Supreme Court does not change and all rulings in effect on June 16 stay the same. The membership of the Federal Reserve stays the same. The only difference is that you are now President
Now this is the part where it becomes difficult. Let's have all those who think like high school kids leave this thread. Let's have a discussion without insulting either political party. You are not allowed to blame anything on either Biden or Trump and no personal attacks on Presidents, Congress, the Supreme Court or the Federal Reserve. All current executive orders or laws currently on the books stay the same. The recent increase of 3/4 of a point by the Federal Reserve remains in place.
You must now start the process of curbing inflation. All you can do is come up with LEGAL actions you can take to curb inflation with all of the previous conditions in place. So let's hear your proposals.

This doesn't make sense. If I am President, I can reverse all the executive orders Biden put in place.
And that's where I would start for the energy sector. The first thing I do is reverse Biden policy hindering O&G production and start us back on the path to energy independence. Getting the gas prices down would be the biggest thing you can do right now as the fuel prices have been a big driver in price increases of products.

You fire the current presidential cabinet and start by appointing a new one. Buttigieg, Austin, Yellen, etc have no business where they are.

Mr 9Fiddy, nice response but there is a current shortage of oil pipe and that is going to take at least 6 months to get the oil companies moving. What do you do today that has immediate impact?

Stop the messaging to energy markets that they shouldn't invest, and stop telling investors they shouldn't consider fossil. The two combined have distorted energy markets, which is the leading cause of inflation. This happened before Ukraine.
When we tamed inflation in the early 80's, the Fed was assisted by lower oil prices - OPEC no longer held market power and oil prices fell.

Declare the irs no longer needed, implement flat tax for personal and corporate
Fire the epa staff, lease the building out. Lease payments go to paying down the national debt
Remove the US from NATO
Put the White House up on air b&b
Lease out Air Force 1
That’d be day 1’s afternoon.
