Yikes. House dems appeared to have leaked a fake/forged USCP statement on 1/6 commission

A bunch of NYT, Politico, etc reporters were sent this statement.
The letter purportedly is authored by officers within the Capitol police dept. the officers are upset that the gop is not supporting a 1/6 commission.
But there is one problem: USCP just came out and said the letter was NOT official and they have no clue how it was written or how their letterhead got on top

Given the level of hyperbole in that letter, I'd hope it was not written by anyone in law enforcement, but instead by the typical middle aged white woman on Nextdoor.

I would think so. An officer who would do something like that, would also be likely to manufacture or plant evidence, or give false testimony in a court of law.
