I am a big fan of history. History tells me that no matter what happens and how many people get killed by a gun America tends to forget in about a month and move on to the next made for TV distraction. Side note..shot a dirty harry 44 magnum this weekend for the first time. Damn no pistol should hurt that much when you pull the trigger.

Did you hit your target even in anticipation of that "mild" recoil?

Not really. It is a clear statement that costs money. What it communicates to Yeti is that not only am I getting rid of your stuff, I will never purchase another one of your products again. Therein lies the problem for Yeti. You don't normally build and sustain a business on customers that make a one time purchase. Loyal customers purchase from you a variety of products and they tell others about your products. The entire Yeti line of coolers, drink holders, beverage holders, etc... etc... is all under threat.

Trust me... Yeti is absolutely shitting on themselves at the moment. They fricked up. Like I said in a post yesterday soccer moms aren't purchasing Yeti coolers that weigh 40+ pounds empty. Liberals in big cities don't need coolers that keep ice for 5+ days.

Yeti alienated their core customer base Plain and simple

Didn't Yeti end discounts for NRA and other organizations? I'm not sure its anything to do with current events, more of a business decision.

Granted it's ill-timed. No self-respecting redneck will have the sticker on his dually now.

i hit it only because i was less than 10ft from it!! my buddy had his suppressed 300 black out this weekend. I was super impressed with the sub sonic rounds. we were popping waters bottles at 300yds with sub sonic rounds. took a minute to dial in the bullet drop but when we did it was super fun. Also he brought out the drone this weekend. Drones are game changers on our hunting property. We did a fly over of all 800 acres .

Im not. I just wanted to know what the resident conservatives think. I remember watching it under GW Bush. A bunch of rednecks were running over Dixie Chicks CDs or pouring out expensive French wines and it didn't make any sense to me then and it still doesn't make sense to me now.

Let's make this simple. First rule of boycotts. They don't work if the people who want to boycott were people who rarely used the products in the first place.

Moving out from that reality, the effectiveness of any company protest is directly proportional to the number of CURRENT customers motivated to discontinue use.

A bunch of women decide to boycott Kotex because Kotex is not environmentally friendly? Problem for Kotex.

A bunch of Soi Boys protest NASCAR because NASCAR supports gun rights? NASCAR experiences an explosion in cash flow.

they did and that's the ironic part of this whole story.

Did you feel the same way about Dick's Sporting Goods destroying guns?

The truth is that the left is pressuring banks and other organizations to stop doing business with the NRA and gun manufacturers. If the NRA and gun manufacturers don't put up a defense, then they will be destroyed. At some point you have to defend your interests.

Now, maybe Yeti has ended all relationships of this type with all organizations. Did their notification to the NRA make this clear? If not, then this was a PR blunder that could have been avoided. What other organizations were notified? Were they notified simulataneously with the NRA or did they do it after the stink to try and cover their butt?

The Left is employing Corporate Boycotts as a political weapon against Media Entities whom they want to censor. They got Bill O'Reilly, and tried the same strategy on Hannity. Then Ingraham. Hannity fought back successfully, educated Trump Nation, and now the momentum has reversed.

ANY Corporation that takes a stand against Conservative Interest or leading Media Personalities/Spokesmen...will now be slammed accordingly. Yeti - their action - will send a clear message to the rest. Can't stand the heat, best stay out of the kitchen. Or pay dearly.

They pretty much notified them all at once from what i can gather. But they didn't let each individual company know they were doing this for all the companies. Honestly they shouldn't have to because its none of the companies business how they handle their dealings with other clients and may even be illegal to some extent to give out that information.

NRA took it as cutting ties with just them and took to social media on it. Its the same with any company or group that plays the media game as a source of business. Any opportunity they have to grab headlines for even a minute and they will use it.

Or just don’t do business with the NRA in the first place. They’ll incite a mob and accuse you of being anti 2A if you ever end your discounts or donations.

So you would rather not use the influence of one of the largest associations in this country. Sounds like a great business plan.

The only time I've ever shot one of those I didn't have ear protection. I promise all I could hear for 2 days was ringing in my ears. That was me shooting 2 rounds.

So I know you're j/k but seriously .... to the point of all of this.

Yeti hurt themselves with a really bad business decision for which there are now consequences.

My gun club is having a Yeti target day this Saturday where quite a few members, or so I have been told, are bringing their Yetis to be used as targets. They are even touting that one 64 quart Yeti donated by a local dealer (who is dropping Yeti) will be blown-up with Tannerite at 500 meters.

Word is Pelican and Grizzly reps (or dealers, we're not sure yet) will be there to offer their products at discounts to everyone who brings a used Yeti for destruction.

So we're also being told this is going to be happening at gun clubs all over the country this weekend.

The 2nd Amendment is important ... all of them are.

I was trying to think (remember) earlier this morning about a similar protest that took place with another product shortly after Trump was elected. People were filmed destroying said product all over the country ... YouTube videos were made, etc. I just cannot remember what that product was/is and I am wondering how they have fared since?

Companies would be wise to stay out of politics and not bow to the farleftwingliberalnutjob looney left progressives. Stay true to our Constitution and our Capitalist values or suffer the consequences.

Bill O'Reilly got what he deserved. The left had nothing to do with him being a sexual predator at FOX news for 20 yrs.

My wife just reminded me of what the other product was ... it was Keurig coffee machines when they dropped Hannity.
