Yesterday may have been checkmate for Trump vs the Dems

Once again, the Dems/Media/Establishment couldn't have been more wrong about Trump's Salute to America.
Even WaPo this morning is saying that Trump was a big winner yesterday.
There was no military takeover of DC, there were no opportunities for some MK controlled robot to throw himself in front of a tank, there were no mass riots, there was no violence against protestors.
It was simply one of the largest collections of humanity this nation has ever seen. I've seen estimates of 2.9 MILLION with another 700K trying to get in. THere are even posters on this board who were there very much validating crowd sizes.
Trump didn't take this opportunity to turn it into the Left predicted campaign speech that never happened. He didn't spend an hour telling us everything his Administration has accomplished over the last two years as the media predicted he would do.
Once AGAIN, Trump proved the media wrong and spent the day doing exactly the opposite that ALL 169 Dem candidates were doing. He spend his 4th of July reminding us all how great our country truly is, that sacrifices it took to get where we are, and the ultimate price paid by those to give us this great land.
And amazingly, he delivered this speech not as the leader of the free world; he gave the sense that he delivered this speech simply as a man that has been afforded endless opportunities by the great Nation that like the rest of us, he was there to honor.
We all get on here and bitch and moan about the things that piss us off but after watching yesterday; I've never been more proud to be an American. By the luck of the draw we were born in the best country on the planet and during that country's most amazing time of growth and prosperity. As we all say often on here, My God what a time to be alive.
And most importantly, Trump may have check mated the left because in the build-up leading to and in the morning after the celebration of our Nation's birthday; Dems and the left exposed themselves to absolutely loathe the great nation we honored yesterday. They exposed themselves BIGLY once again and the optics couldn't be worse for them and they couldn't be better for Trump.
You fricked it up once again Dems, BIGLY.

That aside, the Dems continue to foolishly operate in a land of hyperbole. It was never going to be a cold war era parade where nuclear bombs were wheeled down Constitution Ave. Yet again, this was predicted to be a disaster of epic proportions...and yet again, it was nothing of the sort.
If you were opposed to the parade/speech, that's fine. We all are entitled to our opinion. But vocal Dems and the MSM were carrying on like this was going to be the worst 4th of July in history. And even if it was, it still looks mundane compared to the hyperbolic disaster Dems predicted it would be.

Dems are so self-absorbed that they believe the majority of Americans must think just like them. They have this belief that love for the American flag and patriotism is just something a few "dumb redneck NASCAR trailer trash" care about. I checked out Twitter this morning and seriously, there are throngs of those morons that think Trump's speech was all about him.
I believe the only time he referred to himself was when he introduced members of "my cabinet."
Democrats have managed to get themselves on the opposite side of the 4th of July. Trump didn't do it. Those morons put themselves there. A Democrat candidate for President is on camera helping foreigners break the law; and another is campaigning in Mexico; and yet another is participating in a 4th of July Parade - without a single American Flag in sight; and all of them are somehow arguing that a flag designed and stictched by an Quaker woman business owner in the 1700s is a sign of white supremacy and the patriarchy.
They are idiots. Complete idiots and malcontents.

I have no doubt there are some intelligent people on the liberal, progressive side, but they have allowed their outright hatred of Trump to draw them into some non defensible positions having to do with multiple wrong sides issues, one of which involves patriotism and the 4th of July. They just appear foolish and to be actively rooting against their own country (which I believe the most misguided ones actually are doing).

My great grandparents and their siblings spent years trying to get the funds, ability, and authorization to legally immigrate here and then worked their asses off every day in factories for low pay just to afford their kids better opportunities than they had. They made sure their children understood hard work, strong family, and education are the keys to success. Their children fought in WWII to make sure communism and Fascism didn't take over the planet and then came home and continued to work their asses off and take care of their families. That knowledge, love, and drive was passed down through the generations to me and I am passing it on to my kids. Luck had nothing to do with it.
