In a statement released late Tuesday, MGM Resorts International disputed Sheriff Joe Lombardo’s revised timeline of the Oct. 1 mass shooting on the Strip.
“This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts,” MGM Resorts spokesperson Debra DeShong said in the statement. “As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review. We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically, (sic) and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate.”
Lombardo revised the timeline during a news conference Monday. He said police had learned that security guard Jesus Campos was shot in the hallway before at least 58 people at the Route 91 Harvest festival were killed and nearly 500 were injured. Police previously said Campos was shot after the attack on the concert crowd.
The sheriff also said gunman Stephen Paddock checked in to Mandalay Bay on Sept. 25, three days earlier than first reported.
Lombardo reiterated the revised timeline during an extensive interview Tuesday afternoon with the Las Vegas Review-Journal but emphasized that “it could change even more.”
The MGM statement was released Tuesday by Joele Frank, a public relations firm in New York City.
“We understand the public’s desire for information and the importance of getting our community and the public at large the information they deserve, and we are doing everything we can to support law enforcement’s efforts to do so,” according to the statement. “Therefore, it is not appropriate for us to comment further at this time on what remains an open matter for law enforcement.”

Volks and me both posted threads on it the day after the shooting and got down voted to oblivion.

What about the tapes from the security cameras? Las Vegas his probably the most videoed city in the world...there are tapes.

There was a "glitch" with the tapes Gumbo, you didn't know that?

Negative, that would be London. But I agree with the sentiment, need the tapes.

So that makes null and void the statement about Paddock offing himself upon the guard's arrival. That's a lot of screwed up "initial" reporting there.
Has it been decided, yet, exactly when Paddock ate a bullet?

Paddock probably mistook the guard for police. Or, he thought he couldn't refuse the security guard entry because he had all of his shite set up already.
He shoots the guard, who happened to come by by chance. The windows take some breaking and shooting to get them out. There's the six minutes.

I think this has been accepted as a change for a while now. It's just that it doesn't mean very much.

The progs have been given their marching orders and it is to shout down anyone asking questions.
Does that, itself, not raise red flags?

I read somewhere he had a sledge hammer to take care of the windows.

thats because most of the board is composed of fricking morons who only believe what CNN or NPR tell them and dont dare deviate for fear of being ostracised by their other sheep friends.

As someone who has ran such investigations (though nothing quite this big) let me defend the government a little here.
In a routine investigation where you aren't being hounded for details by multiple media outlets 24/7 you would tend to be much more concrete on what you said is a fact and what isn't, but in this case you have media demanding updates every hour on the hour and the government is trying to accommodate, and that means sometime putting things out there before you have fully vetted them.

Why? Letting the media dictate what you put out and when you put it out shouldn't even be considered by the government if they base their reputation of investigating cases thoroughly before putting out debatable info.
If the government is unsure of the facts why expose untruths as information?

They aren't purposely doing it (well God I hope not) It's just that in normal circumstances (or as normal as this kinda thing can be) you aren't answering questions before you have even had a chance to double check and double confirm every little fact.
You gotta remember, there are MULTIPLE agencies here investigating all giving information and all trying their best to answer every question honestly, but things happen. I mean just the hotel itself providing information as to when he check in and what not can get confused. This is an example of why it takes months and months to build a case that on the outside someone might be saying "what the frick is taking so long here?" Because facts have to be checked and rechecked and then checked again before taken to court.

so a few randoms on the internet are scooping the investigation when these teams should be establishing accurate facts around something as simple as the check-in date for the shooter???
this investigation is a clown show.

Expert analysis has shown that one shooter was from a distance consistent with SP. But analysis of audio collected from people in the crowd also shows that there was a second shooter about 100 yards closer.
