Was the coach not acting in the course and scope of his employment?
I don’t see how the university wouldn’t be responsible for the actions of someone they employed to recruit students?

Any student denied acceptance during that period is part of a major class action.
Hmmm, Alan Bakke won in the SC because he was denied admission to medical school because he wasn't black.
These kids are saying they were denied admission because they weren't criminals. Hmmm.

Chelsea Clinton graduated from Stanford. A little pay to play there also if this has been happening for awhile.
Doubtful.
She was the daughter of a sitting President. No need for a bribe - she brings value based on her pedigree.

I applied to Stanford. Can I join the lawsuit? I’d like my wrongful denial money please

Well, Amy Carter was a dumb arse and she probably got into Brown because of her dad. But at least Brown had the guts to kick her arse out. She landed at Tulane.

The deprived students? Tough, this isn't about them.
They may just want admission at the next available semester with all their classes from other institutions transferring. If they get that they may be happy.

How can these Stanford students possibly claim to have been damaged? Stanford has one of the lowest admission rates in the country, and these people got in. Seems that any suit should be brought on behalf of someone who is a San Diego State because the elite schools denied them.

No, education is not dumb but turning institutes of higher learning into indoctrination centers is.

In the article it says that one of them was not admitted to Yale, so I'm guessing the other was also not admitted to one of the defendant schools.

Give me some real examples of how colleges have turned into indoctrination centers

An easy example is whenever someone who leans right politically tries to speak on campus in Berkley

While I would love nothing more than to see these universities pay a steep price, to an extent, they are the truly aggrieved party in this whole mess. They were defrauded by those using the third party to use their admissions standards against them
As private institutions(most of them) they can do anything they want when it comes to how they admit students. Places like Harvard Yale and Princeton have slot open and reserved for legacy students...think Kennedys and they can use whatever criteria they want.
In this case the administrators and higher ups like the BOT's probably had no idea is was going on or they may suspect this happens, but not on the organized level that it has been. I mean if a kid submits an ACT score of 32 or 33 what are you going to say????? The people who should be suing this third party guy are the ACT and SAT . The whole legitimacy of the test and the process has been called int question

So knowing he leans right is allowed to speak at all? I don't believe you. Also don't believe this phony horse crap about how universities are indoctrination centers.

The fact you would even try to deny it proves the indoctrination is effective

That's just you projecting. You make up a scenario in which you paint colleges as evil indoctrination centers and then when someone asks you why you think that you act like they don't know because they're indoctrinated. That's pretty stupid. Do you have any other idiotic methods of entrenching yourself in ignorance?

Here's one for 500 billion.

A $500 billion civil lawsuit has been filed in California by a parent in the largest college admissions scandal ever pursued by the Department of Justice in U.S. history, Reuters reported.
Jennifer Kay Toy said she believes her son, Joshua, was not granted admission to some colleges because of some wealthy parents who believe it was "OK to lie, cheat, steal and bribe their children's way into a good college," according to the lawsuit. The single mother said her son had a 4.2 GPA in high school.
Toy, a former teacher from Oakland, claims that the defendants in the case defrauded and caused emotional distress to all whose "rights to a fair chance at entrance to college" were taken away by the alleged scam.
Forty-five defendants, including actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, have been named in the lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday in San Francisco.
