Wife just got a text from a friend who lives in the Houston area. She said the facility her mother lives at just reported 35 patients and 13 staffers who tested positive for the virus yet no one is showing any symptoms. If older people are on the front line of the bad effects of this virus then something doesn't add up.

I get more skeptical every day with these "positive" numbers. Somebody somewhere is lying their asses off.

if you alive and not dead then you are automatic positive for the test.

they arent even trying to be honest with this shite any more and if you had any type of flu, its not specific to the bat flu, you will show up as positive

We need to know what the percentage is of these “positive” tests that have no symptoms. Nobody in the media seems interested in that information.

Many of these test in use are producing false positive results. I have been saying it for a while that is why you are seeing more positives but same or lower deaths. Easier to fake a positive test then a death. They don't need deaths to go up for their agenda just an increase in positive results.

The word is the tests aren't accurate. Somewhat famous case in point is Joey Gallo of the Rangers. In the past 10 days he has had 2 positive and 2 negative tests. I have heard of this happening to others here in Dallas as well

My girlfriend’s aunt lives in an assisted living place in Houston and she tested positive with no symptoms. She is around 85.

Yet I have never heard the words "false positive" uttered in the media regarding this virus.

Those are called "asymptomatic Covid cases", which require you to quarantine yourself of 14 days.

You hear "false positive" as often as you hear "extreme" and "left" in the same sentence.

I know two people that signed in to be tested, left in frustration at the wait, went home and were called later and told they were COVID positive....but were never actually tested. This was in Texas.

So, does this count as 2 positive tests or 1 since it was the same person?

From what I understand the nasal swab test actually has a pretty extreme false NEGATIVE rate.

That sounds like bullshite. You should follow up in 2 weeks to confirm whether any of these positive tests had symptoms.

But I can confirm that the tests aren’t 100% accurate. Positive cases go unreported also.

I tested positive and my wife tested negative but we both definitely had symptoms, just not bad enough to require hospitalization.

I live in Arizona and apparently we are #1 in the world for new cases. I also have no clue what is going on.

Yes, the nasal swab test was not 100% accurate.

Wel we know that the vast majority of cases are asymptomatic so not sure why this is surprising

If you're talking about all these positive tests, then I agree with you. If you're saying my wife's friend is a liar then IDGAS about your opinion.

That is happening in Louisiana as well. Several assisted livings and SNF's in my area had no problems until introducing mass testing of residents. Within 2 weeks, they were plagued with positive cases.
