NO. It's a personal choice. If you want an electric vehicle, you should be able to get one. If you want a fossil-fueled vehicle, you should be able to get one. If you want an electric stove, you should be able to own one. No problemo. If you want a clean-burning natural gas stove, you should be able to own one.
Personally, I don't want an EV powered by batteries, of which the material to build the battery was mined by children.
Fair enough?

Absolutely not.
Why are making new laws?

No. Why be stupid like them?

I don't see any reason to ban EVs. I wouldn't drive one but if stupid people want to buy them, it is nothing to me.

I'd be OK with a Republican president banning government interference between the two and let the real market sort out what people want.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:17 am to burger bearcat
nope that is some authoritarian/ dictator bs. Everyone should be free to drive whichever vehicle they want as long as it is safe and not a danger to others (and an ICE is not a danger to others)

What kind of moronic question is this?
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:23 am to burger bearcat
Nope. I’d call for his/her arse to be tarred and feathered. Free market

Only the left bans cars.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:27 am to burger bearcat
No.If people want to drive EVs they should be able to.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:29 am to burger bearcat
Of course not. The government has no business banning EVs. Maybe reduce, or eliminate, the subsidies for them.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:32 am to burger bearcat
No. Build all the EVs you want. Just don't make consumers buy them. If somebody wants one and wants to pay all of the attendant costs . . . I'm good. In other words, I don't want it subsidized or prohibited. Let the market decide.

I need to be grandfathered.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 9:38 am to jawnybnsc
No let market dynamics decide. That is central economic planning like Democrats want to do

Banning products from the free market is the most un-republican thing i've ever heard of.
Like, holy fricking communism dude.

Now, the government shouldn't be manipulating the market, and I am all for ending subsidies and quotas.
