One thing at a time baw. Let's get a republican president first and not a Rino arse kisser.
Have you not figured out that it comes down to about 10% of the middle in swing states? If a scorched earth candidate is the choice for the general election…the closest we’ll get is 42% of the votes. I’d rather win with someone I agree with in principle and 70% of the time.
All or nothing, will get you nothing.

NO. Even if you're a climate denier and reject truth and the reality that rising CO2 levels are directly related to a steadily warming planet, banning EVs is unacceptable.
I thought the modern Republican party was largely libertarian in policy formation...why would you BAN something people want to buy?

They should simply make both and allow citizens a choice

I know this has been propagated many times before, but alas, it needs repeating.
You are a moron.
You are a moron.

So Republicans want to remove rights from the American people. Yea, sure...that's really moronic to oppose taking away people's rights
Posted on 2/13/23 at 7:27 am to burger bearcat
No, but just remove all that is being put in place that is force feeding us them. They need to be a niche thing as there is limited materials for them and making them is horrible for the environment.
I would want to hear a candidate say he will stop all the data collection and usage of said data against people. This is where the real anti-American usage is at. Ie...we'll get to a point soon enough where we can't get car insurance unless they get our data in real time.

It's an irrelevant question. Oil and gas equals jobs, a robust infrastructure, and national security.
No Republican would ever compromise this like Democrats are willing engaged in tearing down this Country.

Geez you commie environmental cultists are an insufferable bunch of trolls. :Face-palm:

No. I dont like the idea of the government banning or promoting any product.

Alas, someone who understands the root of true conservatism.

That would be dumb and unconstitutional unless there was an emergency declaration against EVs. Sans an emergency declaration the president would need congress to pass a ban too.

No what should be done is the government gets out the way and lets the free market do its thing. If a person wants an EV than buy one and if someone wants a diesel truck than let them buy it. We need less government intervention not more and to be honest some of you are starting to sound alot like the left.
They aren't sounding like the left. They ARE the left.

I will vote for any canidate that proposes this. If for not any other reason than to just make them stop with these commercials.
But I seriously wouldn't mind seeing some reverse legislation done that results in increased production of more petro vehicles and a slow down in EVs.
We need to push back on the claim that EVs are not bad for the environment, and in reality it is quite the opposite.
either you have principles or you dont
i.e. you are either free market are you arent
how is this any different than dems banning non-ev?
you govern on a set of principles with the notion you always side with freedom first and foremost

First time I read this subject, I thought you were asking about a Republican President banning Elvis.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 8:19 am to burger bearcat
You’re an idiot and are just as bad as the left.
Posted on 2/13/23 at 8:20 am to burger bearcat
Let the market demand the use of EVs....
Posted on 2/13/23 at 8:20 am to burger bearcat
No. That would just be stupid.
We are the USA. We should be allowed to buy what we want to buy.
I am sick of this EV crap being shoved down our throats and talk of doing away with gas and diesel engines because of some far-fetched notion that doing so will somehow make an imaginary crisis go away.

No.
I don’t want the government involved in this. No subsidies, tax credits, or mandates for or against.
Electric is not for me. I want to be able to go thousands of miles, with no problems, at a moments notice.
I don’t care what fuel my vehicle uses. I want reliable, cheap, convenient, and with as much personal independence as possible. Electric is not it.
I’m also wary about the battery life, disposal, and replacement cost. I can see an used EV being worth almost nothing, while a gas vehicle still runs and has intrinsic value.
But I’m fine with you buying one.

So deep down you are a socialist crypto communist economically. It's not enough that you don't like it. You are more like, " I don't like them, therefore YOU can't have one."
......and you want the government to enforce it.....nice.
