That might actually be a reason to not have one, it makes it more difficult to fall to temptation and spend your dollars foolishly.

I'll give you an example.
I have a family in my practice for the past 17 years. A man and wife and three children. They are married, but they have different last names. The husband is an operator at one of the major plants in this area. The wife works as nurse assistant. They drive nice vehicles.
When ever one of the children get diagnosed with cavities, I estimate them but they never schedule for the work to be done. When they come in for cleanings, the kids have had the work done in silver fillings (this generally is what you find in medicaid clinics). Fillings in my office would be 80% covered, but free at the medicaid office. They have insurance through dad's employment.
Sometimes they get work that is not a medicaid covered procedure and they always pay in cash.
Quite a few years ago our children's school did a program as part of their community service and painted a family's house that needed painting. Guess who the family was?
Some people just know how to work the system.

Why do you think people have chime or cash app debit cards? It’s because they can’t get bank accounts. They have a liquor store in the French quarter that cashes checks for almost everyone one of the restaurant workers in the quarter. One time I went there on a Friday at the beginning of the month to get a drink after meeting with a client. The line was at least 30-40 people deep to cash checks.

If you go to a bank branch that issued the check, their isn't a fee to cash the check. I normally do this with side job checks that are mailed to me so I can have the cash instantly and not have to wait a few days for the check to clear. Some people prefer to have a safe under their bed, that's their bank. Honestly you guys call people idiots for not using a bank, but in reality y'all are the idots for not knowing basic ways to cash checks or live without a bank. Everyone here loves to rag on big banks, but the first to hurry and give them your money, then pretend it's trash to not use a bank and hurry too tigerdroppings to post how bad big banks are

So you're making life intentionally hard on yourself, and we're the idiots?

Everyone should try their hardest to make money under the table in whatever quantity they can.
It’s their duty

I have always paid my taxes and have zero debts, as I do not use credit cards, and don't take out loans.
Some of you people are incredibly naive in your lack of understanding about the deep state. It's not about what YOU owe. It's about what the federal reserve wants. The money we have isn't even real. Gold and Silver are real. We carry around debt notes.
Having all of those in a bank makes them easy to take.
I'm not telling anyone else what to do. I do what I please with my money. It's not my fault none of you know your history.

Are they saying they’re having a harder time getting them as a check through the mail as opposed to direct deposit. No shite

Wages are garnished before the check is issued. Like federal withholding tax. Try again. Garnishments are already taken before the check gets cashed.

It’s strange to me too that there are people who aren’t illegals without bank accounts. It’s not wrong or anything but it is strange to me. It’s like the people under 60 who still don’t have an email or cell phone.

It’s also not true if you have a credit card. None of these companies have my bank account information and I’ve purchased plenty from them.

Watched a youtube video about why people prefer to not have an account. Basically some people prefer to use check cashing places (even though there is a fee) since you can the money instantly.

Absolute trash. The reason why so many people have zero faith in any welfare programs.

Since you can what the money instantly? Direct deposit is in your bank account at 6 am on payday. The actual check can’t be cashed until later in the day after it’s handed out. Now who has quicker access to the money?

Buy a amazon gift card or a debit card at Walmart when you cash your check. Problem solved.
I watched a show about a legal weed business on CNN called High Profits a few years ago. His legal pot business (Breckinridge, CO) could not get a bank account because of the federal laws. It was an all cash business. Guy would have 500k in is safe and his wife would walk down to the city with 50k cash in her purse to pay their sales tax.
